Feature Scholarship: Sisters, Gik and Guk
Thailand (2008)

We met the father of Gik and Guk in front of the Isara Learning Center one evening, as he looked for plastic bottles to sell. We asked him where his two little girls (ages 8 and 10) went to school and he said they don’t go to school and haven’t for two years. We let him know that if he wanted his girls to go to school again that Isara would take care of everything. The next day he came back and now his two little girls are studying again.
