The little puppy's name is Mackie. At least that is what we think they are saying when they call him. We'll take a pic of the golden retriever that is always outside the Easy Cafe down our exitway. He's a cool old dog.

Isara Trivia: The Golden Retriever that Terri is referring to is the father of Jen's dog (Night) that she got last year at this time.

thartley, is this puppy from a new litter by the same Golden Retriever that fathered Jen's dog (Night)?

Just wanted to say Hi to Thartly and Sneaker. I've enjoyed all the stories and pics thus far on here. That's sweet that the Thai lady wanted to take a pic with you. Does she have any head jewelry with a ruby stone by chance?

No. Most of the ornate costumes I imagine are in contests or shows where the traditional thai dances are performed. I have seen a game of volleyball played with the feet, though. I cant remember the name of the sport. It was unbelievable. But no, they didnt wear headdresses, either.

I've been holed up in my room, with no a/c, and furiously cranking out ideas for different things, some good, some ridiculous. But the sad thing is the "no a/c" part up there. With today's temp hitting a "feels like" 108F, I just didnt think I go another day and night so hot. Thankfully, its been worked on now. I was told it was out of gas, though I am sure they meant "freon". ALSO..... I want to draw attention to a new project. Or rather a new approach to an older project. Please read this thread, and give us some feedback. http://www.isara.org/comp...f/Itemid,170/topic,9591.0Good idea, bad idea, who would like to participate? You can PM me or Kirk or Sean if you dont want to post on the forum. Thanks!!!

I slept really good lastnight, finally. Got to it late, but what I got was pretty good. And today, I'm going to pull a "Sean" and go for a longer bike ride that is for fun and not just to get me somewhere I need to go. Although I DO need to go get some breakfast... And right now, it doesnt look like the weather will be too bad. But the longer I sit here, the hotter the temps will climb. Yep....I got my a/c fixed several days ago. Now the elevator is out. haha!!! Living on the top floor can have its possible drawbacks, I see.

thartley has begun teaching the adult classes. She's a great teacher and prepares an interesting lesson each class. Her first lesson even had examples using famous people from Thai history and pop culture. She really did her research. Keep up the great work, Terri. And thanks for the help!

Love the photos Terri! You're supporting the ILC in a meaningful way! Keep it up! Yep....I got my a/c fixed several days ago. Now the elevator is out. haha!!! Living on the top floor can have its possible drawbacks, I see. Terri, every time I read a post about you bike riding or climbing 8 flights of stairs I immediately think of all the leg exercise you're getting and it reminds me to get out an exercise more. But, all I have here are hills. I guess that would work just as well, so I have no excuse not to go do it, right? Hold on.... I have an excuse, there's no Thai breakfast at MutMee waiting for me. Enjoy your bike ride, just for fun, today!!

Terri and the students look like they are enjoying themselves. That's a great way to retain information, having fun while you learn!

Thanks ya'll...I think the students are just too kind to tell me that my lessons are ridiculous. haha! But I at least learned how to get to the "beach". After MutMee and rain cloud burst #1, we went to the ILC to look for my sunglasses. Didnt find them, but Natalie, the puppy is doing great! Short rainfall #2. Then it was off to the beach. It is at the base of the bridge really in this pic taken from my balcony. And I have to say, halfway there, I got SUPER jealous of Sean for having gears on his bike. We are riding the standard granny bike with the basket on the front. Hey, I wonder if Natalie would fit in the basket. hmmm, if she did, I dont think she would stay there. I took a few pics of her the other day while she was passed out amongst all the children's shoes on the front porch of the ILC. Maybe we can get one of them loaded up here so we can introduce our new canine friend.

If those are the kids shoes, then that's a small dog! Is this the one that is related to Night, former volunteer Jen's dog?

No relation. But they both have something in common. A knack for destroying everything in sight. Natalie will find another home very soon. We're just her foster parents. Finally got access to these pics. Last week Terri helped the Red Cross by filling bags with supplies for flood victims in a nearby district. The Red Cross prepared over 900 bags in 3 days. Wow! We were able to help on the last day.

thartley - The pics were sitting inside your camera, which was sitting inside your tote bag, which was sitting inside the computer room. But today I finally found a USB cord that would access the pics on both our cameras. lol
ZeroG - Yes, they placed a big bag of rice, some canned foods, medicine, tooth paste, and some other necessities.

I think there's been a glitch in the matrix then because I uploaded all of them to Isarapix and PM'd you the links. Took me a while and I even said "Why doesnt anyone tell me I LOOK like that?!" Maybe I dreamed I did it because I dont see the msg in my sent folder either.

I'm sure all that is very useful. Good job! However, Ads by Google needs some work. Notice what they think is in the bags.
