Great pics Sean! Looks like it's only raining in Nongkhai now? We've got sun in Sweden I tell ya, was actually hot today! Different kind of heat but still hot, almost swetty which confused me a bit. Cheesy Miss you guys, hope things are good!

From a website "while the Boon Bung Fai ritual is performed in an act of worshiping the guardian spirits of the village and to ask for sufficient rain to arrive in time for the coming farming season."

I think they have plenty of rain now! Cheesy It's so nice to see that they still kept with the parade and continued just as if it was sunny. Grin Thanks for the pictures and update, Sean!

If you look closely you can see that none of the dancers wear shoes. Grin  I love it.  Also for all you insatiable worriers out there (i.e my mom) no one lost their feet as a result.

Today I decided it would be much more fun to simply join my students playing dodgeball than to make them stop and join me for class. Grin  These are the kinds of fun decisions I get to make with my class.

You got way better shots than I did.  You were in the danger zone right there, I was hiding on the porch!  haha!!!!!

Thanks Sean, some fun photos.    Good decision, but how  can they play so hard in the heat?  My guess is that it's cooler outside than in the classroom.  Roll Eyes

Here are some behind the scenes shots from the trailer.  This was right after the no-class dodgeball session so the kids were excited.  They had alot of fun. Grin

For the last four I gave my camera to Chompoo to take pictures while we were filming both for fun and to be part of the shot.  I am not the sound guy rather I play the brief but Oscar-worthy role of PK's security guard.  The last two pictures are while I'm pushing PK through his crowd of crazy "fans" which you can see in the trailer. LoL! Thanks Sean! I'm glad the kids were there and were put to good use. Wink Playing dodgeball and making a video...class doesn't get much better than that! What do all the signs say? I see some have hearts, one has quote marks. Are the kids taking pk's picture with borrowed phones?!? HA! Those pic's would be great to see too!

You played a very convincing bodyguard. I bet Whitney Houston will be giving you a call any minute now. Grin

Yes, awesome bodyguard! I got all of the bodyguard's back story in those brief seconds. And I was able to tell you were a body guard too  Grin

Sean, the photos are amazing.  I saw you, you're a great body guard!!   The kids were having so much fun!  So much excitement  generated by the kids.
They were great!

Sean,   GREAT PICTURES  as always!  I was wondering what the signs said also.    You make the best bodyguard!  I chose the same song that Pk's Mother chose.  Isn't that funny, out of all of those songs to choose from.  Looks like I'll have to find another one.....(great choice I might add, Kit Kat)  I hope Pk likes coffee....lots and lots of coffee. Cheesy 39 hours is a longggggggggggggggggggg time.  Now, about the worried Mother part.   That's my job, however, I think I've gotten better at worring less Ha!   It is amazing though how they do so much dancing barefoot!

One of the signs (the orange one) says, "PLEASE STOP". Which makes sense because they're listening to my singing.

Grin

In the last photo you can see a student standing in the background. That was his first day of class so he didn't know what to think. We're all screaming and yelling and he's just standing there thinking, "Do they do this before every class?"  lol

hahaha Grin Grin I forgot about him.  He shows up for his first free English class and ends up in a video shoot.  He had no idea what was going on.  He probably thought his friends were playing a joke on him.

I forgot to ask, did he come back??

Saturday I went with Nok, Sam and a big group on a really fun trip to some waterfalls.  Everybody had a great time...which started at 7:30am with full blast karaoke!

Wow! Great photos!  The water falls look so cool and refreshing!  Where are they located.  Very far from Nongkhai?
Love the Isara pose!    Grin

It looks like everyone had a "victory" great time!!  Cheesy

Thank you for ALL the pictures Sean. I can see that your students have enjoyed having your for a teacher as much as you have enjoyed teaching them. Except for maybe the girl frowning at the ILC, maybe she is glad to see you leave. Cheesy Wink

Thank you Sean for all the great photos for the last 6 months. You've done an amazing job teaching and providing us with great photos documenting your stay in Nongkhai and volunteering for Isara.     PK has said what a great teacher you've been and we can see, from all your photos, the kids really like you.   I know you'll be missed by many.   Smiley

Here's two more pics from today. In this one Sean is either teaching the kids how to play Dodge Ball or how to Dance. Not sure.

And later on, Sean got frustrated when we lost the ball and started throwing kids instead.
