Sean, I don't remember asking but how long do you get to stay in Nong Khai? Are you going to be holding keggers by the time Terri gets there in April? Cheesy

I'll be here until at least July.  By the time T gets here Nong Khai will be better known as Seanapalooza. Grin

Sweet! I've been to Lollapalooza, but Seanapalooza definitely has better food. And I'm guessing the bottled water isn't as expensive. Cheesy Enjoy your half a year stay!

Wait, when I searched for "Seanapalooza" it came up with THIS GUY's MySpace page.

Our Seanapalooza is MUCH better. Grin

Haha Sean looks like he is having fun teaching and drawing on the white board. Love the "fingers" illustration.

Very cool.

Haha I can't take credit for the body illustrations, they were done by one of our more creative students "James".  The kids are alot of fun but they get a little crazy because my limited Thai can't keep them in control.  I just hope they come away with something.  If nothing else I give them some excercise with the mass amounts of frisbee, badminton, and now Ping Pong we play before class.

Sean, I'm a little curious as to what you're putting together in one of your photos upstairs?  Anything you can share with us?

I'd also enjoy it, if the images of "Isara" drawn by the students were posted on Isara. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Are the ages you're teaching still 8-12 and teenagers?
As Ginafish suggested, Cheesy we could have a thread just for "Art by our Thai students". Grin  Each class could do one or more.  Their name and age would be great!   Cheesy

Sean I'll let it slide that ya didn't draw the illustrations. James rocks. It sounds like you're having lots of fun with the sports- definitely in your character! =)

KitKat- my prediction is that he was putting together a shoe rack. But since he was barefoot, maybe I'm wrong!

I enjoy the idea of a thread for Thai student's art!!

Seanobono!  I figured out how to get on here, and seeing your beautiful illustrations has made my experience so far very gratifying. =]

I noticed that there was no "Snowy."  Annnd I know there isn't any snow there, but in the event that they go somewhere cold, what will they call it?!  Hm?!

Hey Kelley...The time it takes to explain snow does not equal the odds of them ever seeing snow.  But actually many of them already know the English word.  Glad you figured out how to register.

Jane...It was an end table for my room. Smiley  I don't need a shoe rack, I've never worn more than three pairs of shoes at any given time..

Kitkat...the teenagers have dropped off and we no longer have a specific class for them.  Many of them come to the adult class though and it works out well.

Hahaha you know I wrote and re-wrote that a few times, in my head it made sense.  I at any given time have a pair of nice shoes, a pair of tennis shoes, and a pair of sandals. Smiley   I didn't want Jane giving the impression that I was a closet (pun intended) shoe aficionado.

Note: it took me quite awhile to get to 100 posts. Grin

Congrats on the 100 post but it took you a lot less time than it did me.
Looks like you are having a great and fulfilling time in Nong Khai.  Thank you for all your hard work.

gadget - Sometimes I think Sean is still on the Moosejaw payroll. Either that or he didn't have any clothes prior to working there. lol This was after yesterday's class. (I'll let Sean explain the picture.)

Sean is definitely keeping active. When he's not exploring the town on his bike, he's playing either ping pong, paytong, or darts. Not only that, but today Sean setup a weight-lifting area in the Isara game room. I guess he plans to teach the kids how to be his spotter. lol
