Nigel, a member of Isara's website, contacted us a few weeks ago and said that he would like to teach in a small village outside of Roiet, Thailand. He is from New Zealand but he has visited Thailand numerous times and wanted to help as much as he could. So we contacted the school where he wanted to volunteer and arranged for him to stay for one month. He arrived in Thailand last week and stopped by the Isara Learning Center, on his way to Laos for the weekend. Of course we couldn't allow him to leave without standing under the Isara sign in the traditional pose. Thanks for volunteering, Nigel. Please upload some photos of the school where you teach whenever you have a chance. -pk

I remember meeting Nigel in the "members' introductions" thread! I was so happy that someone from New Zealand visited and that someone over 30 was in the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay in Roiet and come back to the forum to share your experience and pictures! Thank You for volunteering with Isara!! ((hugs))

Hi Nigel and thanks for doing what you are doing. Many of us out here in cyberland live sort of vicariously through the stream of volunteers who have been able to make the trip over and do the sort of hands on volunteering in country. So yes, please keep us posted on how things go. In fact, blog about it!

I'm trying to think of something witty, but nothing's coming.
