Warning more about Season 3, Ep 4 "Eggtown"...

I don't think Claire would have let Kate take care of Aaron if she were still on the island. I think Claire is dead at that time in the flashforward. And Jack's not wanting to see him, might mean that Jack had something to do with it (situational).

Aaron looked to be about 3 years old. At this time on the island, he is only 3 months. So quite a bit of time has transpired between the island time and the flashforward. But now we know how Kate got off the charges. It was a little lame, and not the story quality you expect from a Law show, but still an awesome story line with the flashforward technique.

More spoilers:

I wasn't surprised by the time we found out Kate's son was Aaron but still an interesting twist.  It is possible Claire had Aaron be one of those off the island so he could have a better life (she not being allowed to leave?)

I would like to know why Miles is more interested in bribing Ben than anything else.  I would have thought he would be interested in knowing about Jacob.

Miles is kindof scummy. Like taking the money from the house where the lady's son died.
When Ben started saying, "Why 3.2 Miles? Why not 3.3?..." I started laughing. Best line so far. The guy playing Ben is an awesome actor.

The Ben actor is really good.  He gives me the creeps!  So he's doing his job as an actor.  haha!!!

I would like to know why Miles is more interested in bribing Ben than anything else.  I would have thought he would be interested in knowing about Jacob.

Yeah, but if Miles is physic, or whatever he does, wouldn't he already 'know' about Jacob? And, where would have Miles have heard about Jacob? The 'trade' for Charlotte happened after they were trying to find the cabin. I don't remember anyone ever mentioning Jacob around Miles. Maybe I'm wrong.

And, yes, the guy who plays Ben does a great job at being creepy, but at the same time, you know that he knows so much more then he lets on. Very good actor!

Faraday in 2004, says to Desmond in 1996...

"Because I need you to find me"

If there is a better show on TV EVER I need to know about it.

It is interesting, but shouldn't changing the past change the future as well? It doesn't make alot of sense as to why the present didn't change at all. I really hope that they go into why Faraday and the others are there, and soon, before they run out of shows and leave us all hanging for months!

They walked a fine line and I think they avoided a paradox. Desmond did really have a vision of being on the boat and calling Penny in 1996 when he was in the service. He went to visit Faraday, and then went to see Penny. That was his way of remembering the number to call.

I think the island does something to your memory where you don't remember everything. Remember when Faraday was guessing cards. Perhaps he was shown the cards before he got on the island, and then he tested himself to see if he could remember them once on the island. Also, Faraday didn't remember Desmond visiting him at school, but he had written down in his notes. It's like you don't remember stuff which could cause you to get stuck in time.

Ha! LOL Grin

I just finished watching Season 2 and am definitely hooked! The show keeps getting better and better.  Now I just need to wait for Sean to catch-up so we can start Season 3.

'Ji Yeon' was awesome. LOST is at the 27th level of blow-me-away.

If you haven't seen it yet...read no further...however, I'm am not sure of what I speak.  Grin

I left the episode thinking that Sun was rescued pregnant, but the time she was gone from real time, made it look like it was not Jin's baby. One of the stipulations to leaving, was that Jin could not claim the baby, and it had to be her fling's baby.

Now, why was she crying at Jin's grave with Hurley? The best story is that Jin really did die, and he was visiting the hospital (in the future) to see the birth of his child as part of a bargain he made to save the life of Sun and Ji Yeon.

Is that not awesome or what?

Edit: Ok, I really mis-interpreted the show. Jin was having a flashback to before he was on the island. Sun's was a flash forward. Jeez, they know how to mess with your head.

I was beginning to wonder if you had watched the same show I had until I saw the edit.  That was definately a new twist to have a flashback and flashforward at the same time.

It will be interesting to see what Michael is up to and why he is working for Ben.

This was most certainly one of the best episodes.

I was really sad to see that Jin dies. I do wonder, however, if the 'future' time that they are showing is going to happen, or is it a possible future that will happen if they do leave the island? I'm a little sleep deprived, so I'm sorry if that didn't make any sense. Anyway, did anyone else wonder where in the world Ben got 324+ people to fill the fake plane? Maybe they were the original Dharma people that he gassed? Also, I wonder how Michael is going to explain his presence on the boat. Should be a good episode next week!

Side note, I didn't know if you all had read that Lost has an end date, now. The last season will be 2010, and the producers are saying that the next season they will really start to answer some questions.

Yeah, where did he get 324 people? Dharma was a while ago and the decomposition would be noticeable. Seems like something you could fake if you 'had big box, and whatever you wished for would show up in that box'.

Either that or the film was fabricated and the plane was supposedly so deep in the trench, no one could ever recover a body.

I don't think Jin is really dead.  I think it is just a memorial marker to continue the farce that only 8 people survived the crash.  The marker does list his death as the day of the crash.

I am also not sure it was Ben who faked the plane wreckage.  But who knows what resources he has off the island.

Lost started up again last Thursday with the first of 5 eps to complete the 2008 season. It was cut short by 3 episodes because of the writers strike. The planned on having 16 episodes this season.

They said they would hit the ground running, and they did. Lots was covered in this last episode "The Shape of Things to Come". I had a conversation with a ex-Lost fan a few months ago. He said they were making it up as they went. He said "what happened to the smoke? we will never see anymore of that thing." Well he was wrong.

I do think they have a plan, and they are sticking to it. They know they can't make this show last forever. It is becoming more science fiction than I thought they would do, but the acting is keeping it real, and the story line is really developing nicely.

That was an amazing episode! You really got to see the human side of Ben. On another note, where did the smoke come from? I know that he went down to the basement, and did something, but he claimed that he didn't know what it was, or where it came from. The whole Charles vs. Ben thing is a little odd, too. I'm really looking forward to having some questions answered, finally!

I have to think he did unleash the smoke from that room. It was like the house was built around it. It had very old writing etched in the stone door. He also said they don't want to be anywhere near the guys with guns. He forecasted exactly what would happen.

At first I thought the smoke was like an evil-seeking attack dog. But now I think he can give it a profile of who to attach, like when it went after Eko and John. Remember the smoke had images of Eko's past in it? That's why he gets so much info about people, so he can send the smoke after them if he needs them to go away.

I don't know, but I hope that it's one of the questions that they answer before the show ends!

Here is an enhanced picture of the door to 'smokey' hidden in the back of Ben's closet.
