Casino Royale was a great restart of the 007 series. Here's the trailer for the follow-up, Quantum of Solace.

As long as they don't throw in any pointless aliens or killer grass I'm ok with it. I gotta say I really like this new* version of Bond much better.
*even though it's not a new Bond, he's based on the original version.

yes i concur Mus. I like this new take on the bond character... taking it back to the "grass roots" of bond is so nice to see... daniel craig does a fine job of Bond as well.

So yeah it looks good, I've got the first (21st) on Blu-ray, probably gonna get this one, too. Liking these ones better than the first 20, more realistic. |

Saw the trailer with The Dark Knight; a little worried about how dark this looks. (Like, super-duper beat you over the head dark.)
Like Batman Begins, I thought Casino Royale was a great restart to the series. I hope I don't find the follow-up as disappointing as I did The Dark Knight.

For a minute there, I thought I was watching another Bourne trailer with Judi Densch's dialog of "Find Bond"..... I should be back home by then, so I will check it out. Daniel Craig took such a beating when he got the role of 007 for CR. I am glad to see he is doing okay with it. |

Saw Quantun of Solace last week and it was pretty good. As always, great locations and great cars. But I think the economy is effecting Bond because, for the first time, he had to fly coach. Overall, Casino Royale was better. Note to Hollywood: I don't know how this bad trend started but please STOP editing action scenes with 100 cuts per second. It makes it very difficult to figure out what's going on. Just hold a shot for more than five seconds so the audience can get their barrings. |

NPR's review of Quantum speaks to me about why I don't think these movies should be Bond movies. I think they should have just renamed the character and still had Daniel Craig work for the same agency. To me, giving him the name Bond means he likes the ladies, he is suave, he looks elegant in a tux, and he knows vintage wine, etc. Bond says 'Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan'. This is an older link that doesn't include the new Bond but has a list of the first 10 Bonds. See that? 10?!? I think they should have just created Daniel Craig as a new employee. He's a fine 'action man' but he's just not debonair.

personally Connery was my favorite bond with brosnan being second in my books
I'm going to see Quantum of Solace tonight so I hope I will have some more comments tomorrow

Quantum of Solace is confusing me. I still don't know the point of it. All I can see are action and sexy girls. Also water and oil. I may have to watch it again to fix my confusion. |

oooo I just saw that movie on sunday, thats a good lookin man oo-la-la, and a good movie haha. I really liked Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, I think they are the best Bond movies yet.

Yeah I saw it and I was somewhat disappointed. There seemed to be more action in this one than in Casino Royale but it kind of left me hanging at the end... they didnt even reveal what the Quantum was.
Oh and PK, I definitley noticed that the action scenes were cut way too much... its almost enough to cause photosensitive seisures.
