This season is going to be a good one!

It just might be that American Idol is now creating a song especially for him to sing in the finale. They've done this in years past.  Don't know, this year they've made some changes. Smiley
With 3 David's this year, I hope voters don't get confused.  Undecided

I think the guys have it this year, but we'll know more tonight with the gals!  Smiley

I don't have a lot of opportunities to watch this show but it's a very good show for everyone to watch. I like it too.
In Thailand we have the same kind of this show call "The Star" this time is their third season and most of people watching it too. It's a feel good show and music. Grin

ZeroG, that video is no longer available. Sad

So what do you all think of the final 12? I don't think there were any surprises with it last night. Do you?

I thought the Sanjaya effect would have kept Noriega in there a little longer, however Chikezie was better.
I think the guys are much better than the girls. Archuleta needs to get better song choices or he won't make it.
Cooks arrangement and performance of Hello was good.

Chikezie rocked the Beatles last night! Unfortunately, I only got to watch part of the first hour. How do you Beatles fans think it went?

For me, Ramiele, Kristy Lee and David Hernandez didn't do as well last night. I don't think Ramiele is ready for the spotlight just yet, she's very shy.

My favorites to win are Carly and Brooke for the gals and David Cook and David Archuleta for the guys. David Archuleta will have to make better song selections to win. He's only 17 so it must be really difficult for him. I hope he has an experienced adviser to help him.  Smiley

Yep, I did get to see Ramiele last night, and her song was nice, but it was also boring. Sad I think that Kristy Lee will go home, apparently she did a country version of a Beatles song? I'd watch it but reading the description hurts my ears. Cheesy

I saw Chikezie, Ramiele and Brooke. Brooke was the best! "Let it Be" was awesome.
I wanted to see David Cook, but had stuff to do, and didn't get to see the
recording. What song did he do?

Well, I was surprised when David Hernandez was "stripped" of his American Idol glory! Especially after I listened to the country 8 days a week mess.

And poor Archuleta! Forgetting the lyrics a bit! Yikes! I hope the pressure isn't too much for him. Sad He has a beautiful voice and I think he'd do awesome studio work. I'm not sure his stage presence is 'secure' enough to make it to the finals in American Idol.

Thoughts from the AI crew? Cheesy

I thought Hernandez had a good voice, but for some reason he was the only one I just didn't like from the beginning. So I wasn't surprised. Archuleta is a prodigy, but that alone won't keep him around. Cook and Brooke are the tops for me right now.

I can see Cook being another Daughtry.

Ya know, Micheal Johns is growing on me. I'm ready for most of the girls to go. They are 'nice', but not Shocked WOW!!

I read online this morning that David Cook had to be taken to the hospital last night for stress and high blood pressure. Apparently his brother is being treated for cancer and took a bad turn, so DC is really feeling pressure. I hope both men work it all out. I think the pressure must be what lead DC to get a haircut. I'm thinking it worked better before b/c now his balding is starting to show more. Is it just me??

Who's going home? Any guesses?? I'm thinking it'll be a big shock. Hmm...

Well, for the first time in a couple of weeks I actually watched the show instead of waiting for youtube vids. Yea Me!

It was just a weak night. The kids are tired, they've been overworked, stressed to the gills, and are in need of oxygen and rest. *sigh* The only thing memorable about last night is that Jason Castro sang with a ukulele and Kristy Cook sang well enough for the first time.

Dial Idol predicts either Carly (the Irish Screamer) will go home or Syesha (I'm trying to sing big songs with a weak voice Girl). I don't really mind either of them going. I'm ready for the final four.

Who do you think will make the final four? Hmmm....

I definitely think AI pushes the contestants too far. They hardly have time to prepare for their performance. Sad  The judges were much too critical last night, especially Randy.

My guess for the final four: David Cook, Brooke, Jason, and David Archuleta.  Cheesy (Not in any particular order.)

They are supposed to do the elimination show tonight. Last year they said they were all safe the day after the "Idol Gives Back" show. This might explain why David Cook didn't wow us, he knew he couldn't be eliminated this week. Just a thought. Won't be surprised if no one is eliminated tonight.

I had completely forgotten about that last year, ZeroG. Sad You're right, I doubt anyone will go home tonight which makes me wonder if the whole hour will be a big 'pat ourselves on the back' commercial??

After I looked at the Dial Idol results, I also went to 'vote for the worst' and tada! They are asking people to vote for Kristy Cook. Which is why even if they reveal the bottom three tonight, it's doubtful she'll be in the bottom for the first time in weeks.

That was an amazing good-bye song, 'Dream on'. He'll be leading a band soon.

Shocked Big shocker last night!!! Michael Johns will do well on his own!!  I saw Randy and Paula talking to him at the end of his performance last night. I bet they were saying good things, like the word "contract".

Even if David Cook doesn't sing well this week, it will still be a week that he will never forget.
