I have a plan taking a tour to thailand on next months but I hardly know about that country's tourist places. Can someone suggest me any places? Thanks in advance.

heres a short list:
Chiang Mai - beautiful mountain city with loads of cool attractions including a really cool elephant village that is a must see.
Phuket - insane traffic, but if you like beaches and like to party in a place where theres lots of services geared towards foreigners it is worth it.
Koh Samui - A much more relaxed island in the gulf of Thailand that has amazing beaches and still a decent amount of services for foreigners.
Koh Chang - (translates to "elephant Island") This is the ultimate laid back chilled out island in the gulf of Thailand... bus or fly to Trat then take the ferry to koh chang... this island isnt overly touristy or over developed with only one major town on it and a few nice villages it is nice for getting away... also keep an eye out when the tide is going out because the people dont collect the shells and you can get such nice shells there at low tide.
Ayuttaya - former ancient capital of Thailand with lots of cool ruins to see.
Surin... if youre there in November try to get tickets to the Elephant festival, it is very cool... other than that Surin is kind of "drab" but the elephant festival is so cool.
Chantaburi - if you're interested in Gems, this is the place to go.... just be careful you dont get cheated into buying fake gems.
Bangkok... there are so many things to see in Bangkok, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddah are on the top of the list but theres also some top notch shopping at Siam Square and Suan Lum night market... also if youre there on the weekend, get up bright and early and go to the weekend market it is absolutley huge.. i spent half a day there and only got through about 20% of it. Bangkok has a nice ultra modern subway system and sktrain that are superbly safe to use and they help make getting around bangkok easy. Sukohthai is also an ancient capital of Thailand with lots of cool ruins
oh and first and foremost: NOGKHAI .... visit ISARA (LOL!)
Thats all I can remember for now, but feel free to ask any other questions.
