Hi guys..

As you could see from the "screen-shot" that it's a snap of my travelog.

Yes, I just revamped my travelog and I sincerely need some feedback/criticism in order to improve the layout, content of the site.

Please feel free and by all means, share with me your views, comments, opinions either thru' email, reply to this thread, after you visited the site.

Thanks for your support and comments during the past months.

(P.s: the G**gle's ad is just to make the site more lively Tongue)

Wow!! pohui you've put a lot of work into your site. You're travel photos are amazingly  beautiful with well done explanations. Good job!
I don't have any expertise in website design, so I can't offer any advice, but I can   acknowledge all your hard work!  Grin

Did some changes to my travelog again.. after much deliberation, I decided to stick to using "Framed" format - the whole idea is to make visitors "stay within the boundary" while visiting.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea.. please feel free to feedback.. thanks Smiley

First thing that springs in mind is that it should say "aN online journal of a passive traveller". Grammar police to the rescue.

pohui - I would not use frames because it will be hard for search engines to crawl your site and link to you. When you have frames the URL to each page stays the same. I'd make each page separate so when people search G**gle for "Chiang Mai pics" (or something) they'll find your page about Chiang Mai. But as it is right now they might be taken to your Chiang Mai page but the frames will not be there so they won't be able to navigate very well or see your logo.

The site looks fine and definitely tells a lot about the places you visited. The frames is the only thing I'd do without.

Hi PK, thanks for your feedback...

in fact, I been cracking my head if should I or should I not use the "frames".. initially, the plan was to have both "frames" and "non-frames"

But due to some teething navigation problems I decided to stick the the "frames".

As mentioned, the whole idea is to "stay within the boundary" while at the site, so as to avoid being "wander around".

Nonetheless, Thanks for your feedback, comments and I shall progress from this stage Smiley

Just changed the thread subject to -"Kotravelog.com" update thread".

So this thread will served as a place of update all, whenever there's any new addition to my travelog.

And as for now the latest addition to the travelog is the inclusion of "Pohui's Bloggy"http://www.kotravelog.com/frame-blog.html that's being incorporated inside the site, to compliment each other.

Cheers Smiley

Here's a good and bad news..

the Bad news first.. the updating of my Taiwanese trip photos and write-up would have to delay for a certain period, after my 5-year old desktop crashed this morning!!

the good news though is.. the write-up and photos are almost 80% completed with the remaining being the videoclips and some editing..

SOrry for keep you guys waiting Sad

[P.s: already posted a SOS message on the relavant forum http://www.isara.org/comp...f/Itemid,170/topic,9492.0, thanks for any help Smiley]

Wow.. the editing and compiling of the videos are right underway..

The challenging part being selecting and editing the clips, phew!! things cant be help when i have some other commitment at night after works..

So in order not to keep everybody waiting.. here's clip filmed on the 22nd March, after it was confirmed Ma Yin-Jeou as the president-elected for the ROC.

Pohui! I love the edition of youtube videos! Grin Is that you saying "Ma Yin-Jeou"? Smiley If it is, could you say your name in a clip? I know I am saying your name wrong (just ask thartley) and I didn't know how to properly say Isara until pk did a video saying it. Cheesy

I like the use of firecrackers to announce the winner and they are more fun to look at with the loud pop noise too! Grin

Your travelog is GREAT, puhui. All the videos and pictures. It's like a virtual tour of Taiwan. Thanks!

And is that the Isara pose you're in or was someone stealing your wallet? LOL

Wow Pohui! That's awesome! I just smiled your whole Taiwan trip! Smiley Isara poses, food, airplane photos, amusement parks, politics! Your tour looked very full and fun. Grin

You don't have to film yourself saying your name, you could get a pretty girl to do it. Cheesy One of the ladies from the towers would have done it, I'm sure. I look forward to hearing how to say your name properly. Smiley
