T-I hate to be the one to tell you this, but enjoying the sounds of children outside playing can be interpreted to mean you are getting closer to "Nana" age... Shocked

Girl, you are not breaking any news to me! haha!!  I am nana-age.  Just without the nana.  Cheesy

I'm grateful that bad habits can be kicked and good habits can be started and some falls from wagons have cushy landings.

I'm grateful for the couple days of scattered showers we've had here.  On my way home this evening, there was a double rainbow and the colors were VERY vivid!  It made working late not so bad.

I am grateful for my friend Steve, who has protected me in one way or another since we were kids in highschool.

I am grateful for my friend David (again), who showed up at my door yesterday wearing a cheeburger cheeburger t-shirt and a kilt, riding a girl's pink bicycle and really brought a smile to my face.   Smiley

I'm grateful for getting out of the office on time on a Friday, comfortable pajamas at 4:30 in the afternoon, and the fact that I still have half a tank of gas!

I am so grateful for my local McDonald's and the kindness of the employees!!!

This morning I had some errands to run, and went by a fast food place to get lunch when I realized the credit card I was going to use was missing from my wallet. I came home and searched high and low for it! I went online to my account, and was surprised to see it had been reported lost or stolen! Also, I noticed that nothing 'extra' had been charged on it. *whew*! I called the credit card company to ask when it had been reported, and they told me it was right after I had made my last purchase at the local McDonald's by one of the employees last Tuesday. I can't tell you how relieved I am because that was our "big" credit limit card. I am so grateful for honest people!! Grin

Ginafish-that was VERY nice of them!

I am grateful to hear that almost all of the home evacuations due to Florida wildfires have been lifted.  The fires arent out at all, but they are about 90% contained.   Smiley

Today I am most grateful for my freedoms, the comforts that I live in, and e-mails from my friend Steve who is in Iraq letting me know he is safe.  We love and miss you, Buster.   Kiss

I'm grateful for being able to get together with friends from work and not talk about work.   Grin  Instead, we talked about theology, which came first (chicken or egg), yams vs sweet potatoes, and the pros and cons of polygamy. haha!!!   Grin  We laughed a lot, and so did our waiter.  At one point, he came by our table, shook his head, and just kept on walking.

I'm grateful for good times.   Cheesy

I've found that many of the things that I'm grateful for come and go, but I always have one thing that I am most grateful for - my wife. I'm grateful that she's always there beside me.

I'm grateful that I have gotten back on a bike again after all these years.  About 15 yrs and 80 lbs ago, I used to ride almost everyday.    I did trail riding, serious off-road biking on trails called "Toxic" and "Logjammer" (sorry, no mountains in Florida, so I can't say I did true mountain biking), I rode in street races, and was working on doing some distance riding.  I was just starting to train for the MS150, which is a bike ride that benefits multiple sclerosis when I was hit by an elderly lady driving a cadillac.  Since then, I have not been able to ride very well in traffic...I get all white knuckly and hyperventilate.

But I have done exceedingly well here (now watch me go do something stupid, haha!) in the traffic, but partly because I know the other drivers are used to seeing cyclists on the road.

Wahtever, I am grateful for my old lady bike and my old lady behind that gets on it.

Back when I was writing a weekly column on current events, I did one for Thanksgiving abot some of the things I am thankful/grateful for. I saw this thread and dug it up to show you guys. I don't want to turn this into another political thing so you probably shouldn't respond to the points here. It's kind of long but if you want to read it go for it, but just take it for what it is - an opinion; and a very heartfelt and intimate one at that.
