I FINISHED MY ENGLISH ASSIGNMENT! It was about explaining the value of studying Shakespeare's Macbeth to a modern Audience. Long story short (very short) it's a great play, and although it's over 400 years old it's still commonly watched and studied today because of the main meanings and concepts behind it. Smiley

If you want I could post the script but I don't think anyone here wants to read it! Cheesy

The company I work for writes software which oil companies use to look for oil. Us and another company supply the software to over 90% of the industry worldwide.

About 6 years ago we had some brainstorming sessions at lunch time. We envisioned the perfect oil exploration system which incorporated the latest collaboration technologies at the time.

Since then, we have acquired large software companies and have spent 100s of millions of dollars in developing the system since then. I have not worked on it since those discussions, so I was extremely surprised to learn that I will be listed as an inventor on the patent of our next generation oil exploration and production software suite. It doesn't mean any more money, but the recognition is very good news for me.

Yes, it is a curse word. Unless you are referring to the kind that animals make along creeks and by engineers along rivers. Smiley

My Good News is that I just returned from camping, took a shower, and no longer smell like campfire smoke! Cheesy And of course, that while camping, we had a great time! Grin Grin

Censoring certain words can actually have funnier results than not censoring them. Leaves more to the imagination. lol  A comedy movie we made years ago had some d-bombs in it and when we decided to bleep them out the audience laughed much harder.

Welcome back Ginafish. Did you eat any smores?

My good news today is that my little brother met me at my storage room and took possession of my grandmother's antique buffet and hutch that goes with a dining table he was already using.  And my daughter (finally) showed up and helped me carry a small boatload of stuff out to my car to be junked and/or donated to Goodwill.  Then we cleaned my car out and THEN I cleaned out my fridge.

I still have a ton of stuff in boxes in the storage room....but the big stuff is gone.

mostly.

I live with my mother and her husband.

But why do you need a new dishwasher-stove? Or did I misunderstand that? Maybe I did.

Oh and my good news is I don't have school for another seven days since it's winter break. Or well, it's a bit how you take it. Pretty boring really, I'd rather be working.

When I say that I am renovating my house, I mean that professionals are renovating my Step-father's house. I live in it so it's my house too. Tongue

Not if you don't pay him anything for it. You're a leach, a leach I say. But it's ok, so am I. For now. And if you're not doing anything you can't claim you are. Taking stuff literally is fun.

My good news is that FINALLY it snowed overnight. Grin As of now, there's only an inch of wet snow on the ground, but more is on its way. You can bet we'll all be freezing our tushes off by 7 am and playing outside.

I expect it will all be melted by 3 p.m. But at least we had one snow this year. My son is already talking snow forts... Roll Eyes Grin

I don't like snow, it's so white and cold. Over here it keeps melting away only to return a bit later.
