I've had the same old cell phone since cell phones did little more than make and receive phone calls.  It did take pictures, but it didnt even have speakerphone.  Never had a problem with it, so I've never seen the sense in replacing it.  It worked like a champ and did what I needed it to do.  I took are of it, too.  It looked brand new, not so much as a scratch on it.  I plugged it into its charger lastnight and it was just plain old dead this morning.  No warning.  Just dead.  Wouldnt even turn on.   Cry

I rushed it to the cell phone emergency room and waited for a half hour for the verdict.  It wasnt good.  Poor thing could not be resucitated.  They brought it back out to the counter with a toe tag stuck inside its mouth.

But hey, I got a new one with plenty of bells and whistles.  It has speakerphone, so I thought I had really moved up! haha!!!  But then I felt extra special because it has a bluetooth feature to it, too.  And I didnt have to pay a thing for for the phone.  (Paid half price for the bluetooth thingy)

That's my actual good news....that my new phone was "free".  I realize I've prob paid for a much better phone with the amount I've paid in maint plan fees, but it felt nice to go in with a problem and come out with no problem.  That rarely happens to me. LOL!!!

Please oh please don't wear your bluetooth thingy in the stores. Car, house, at your desk, awesome! I just feel like a doofus when someone in a store is talking in the next aisle, and it takes me a minute to realize that they are by themselves and don't need my help and aren't talking to me. Roll Eyes

My good news for today: I didn't have to cook breakfast, we had lunch at my parents, and my hubby is grilling! No kitchen duty for me today at all!! Woohoo! Grin

Well, when Sneaker took out her own policy with them, they were able to remove her from MY policy, thus the refund. Smiley  Kids are WAY expenive! heh!

I left this morning with $12 cash.  I had two returns to make at Kohl's and two returns to make are WalMart...nothing expensive at either store.  I bought a pair of pants, a top, a dry erase board for the fridge, and an expandable file holder at WalMart and paid cash.  I stopped by the grocery store and bought stuff for lunch and paid cash.  I donated $5 to the Veteran's Association on my way out to my car.

I just counted my money and I somehow have $110 cash!   Shocked

That's kinda wierd, but in a good way.  I have to go back over my day and receipts and see where things went so well for me!   Grin

Okay, I found my extra money.  Sneaker coughed up cash to pay her part of the cell phone bill and I forgot I had that $75.  But still, I came back with more than I left with, AND I bought things while I was out.  Pretty good.

Today's good news is I got a new refrigerator!   Grin  The one I had kept leaking inside from the freezer.  This one is brand new (compliments of the apt management).  woohoo!!!

OMG, Cheesy I don't think I know enough to answer any questions. I'm just excited about remembering what I've learned so far.  The real test will be if I can remember what I've learned later when I need it again. hehehe

I have a notebook around here somewhere that I use to write down step-by-steps on things that generally confuse me.  Smiley  Makes things easier later when I need to do it again.  The problem is whenI cant find the notebook!  DOH!

Now, my good news today is that I actually got to TALK to my dear friend Steve who is serving in Iraq right now!  He sounded good and well and he is greatly missed here at home.

Steve, we're saving your seat!  Smiley

Grin My good news today is that our area electric company is giving away to their customers an energy saving Fluorescent Spiral Light Bulb. One per customer.
They claim fluorescent bulbs save lots of energy, something I've learned from the Thai culture.  Cheesy

Wow! That's amazing, fluorescents are expensive!  And lucky you! At least for awhile, until they burn out!

thartley, I guess this is being done in all the states. It's a great idea, I hope more people will conserve energy this way.
In my opinion, I prefer the warm color fluorescents, the cool color is much too harsh.

I was driving down a country road yesterday, on my way to work, and I noticed a teenage boy picking wild flowers along the road. When I saw him he was carefully making a bouquet of yellow wildflowers for someone very special in his life.
I immediately thought he's going to make someone happy today. Seeing him gave me a smile, someone he didn't even know.
