My great news today is that I have a nice surprise coming this weekend.  A very dear friend of mine who I have not heard from in about a year has been on my mind almost everyday for the last couple of weeks.  When my cell phone up and kicked the bucket a while back, I lost her phone number along with everything else that had been saved in the phone.

She called me out of the blue today at work!  She had lost my number as well, and since I only have a cell phone, she couldnt find me.  (Plus I have moved around quite a lot in recent years.)  She called the main switchboard for the company I work for and persisted until she managed to get her call directly to my desk!!!  We're having lunch on Sunday and may spend a day together this coming week while I'm on vacation.  She will be moving to the west coast in two weeks.

I am soooo glad she found me again!

Grin That's very good news thartley. You must be feeling really good to see your friend, Grin especially before she leaves soon for the west coast.

Well, as of today, I am adding "college student" back onto the list of things that pertain to me!  Grin  I hit the campus this morning to register at about 8:45am...and I just got home about 20 minutes ago.  I had other errands mixed up in everything during the day.  Let's just say it took a while to get things straight and on the right track.  Three trips to two different campuses, but it all worked out exactly the way it should have:  with good news all around!

Is that one guy really wearing a lavender ascot?  Grin

Until I change my mind, I'm down for Bus Admin. But I will more than likely change to Education at a later date. (That's a kinda funny statement if you think about it)

I'm home and back to surfing Isara at the odd hours.  My tv in my bedroom wont turn on no matter how many magic words I use, so that means more reading time.  Smiley

My good news?

I spent the afternoon with a friend skateboarding around town just talking, it was good fun, never done anything like that before. Then I just had a shower, that's good fun too.  Cheesy

My good news is that after a few of us have drastically changed to an extreme positive frame of mind at the office, I am hearing people coming in first thing in the morning telling each other that the day is going to be a great day!  At first I thought they might be poking fun at me   Grin  but they are really being positive-minded.   Cool  And one lady brought in a little crystal bell, and as soon as someone announces that they have figured out a problem account, or managed to meet a deadline, someone will ring the bell for them.  LOL!!!  Hey, we accountants have our special ways of having fun.   Cool

That's pretty cool. I know what you mean with the "poking fun at you." Thought the same thing. I work with a group of people I like. And being with them for over 15 years helps on the stress. Get someone in the group who is 'climbing the latter' or 'brown nosin' and you get that.

My good news is, I had the pleasure of meeting a young girl in my shop yesterday from Bangkok.  She's visiting her inlaws, who live in the U.S., while her husband is serving in Iraq. They met in So. Korea and have been married for 1 yr.   She'll be attending school here to study English.  It was fun visiting with her.  Grin

I just got promoted to a CLS III from II (CLS = clinical laboratory scientist) and got a little raise to go with it.  This is a new classification at work and I was one of the few to get it.  It pays to have a degree.  Can't tell people at work so I thought I would do some celebrating here. Wink
