One windy day I witnessed a random act of kindness from a passer by in front of my shop.  I display Asian sun umbrellas hanging upside down from my store front porch and the wind had blown one down.  I was at my register checking someone out when I noticed this kind gentleman replacing my handing umbrella that had come detached from it's hanger.  It had come down several times, but this was the first time anyone had ever replaced it.    This to me is a simple random act of kindness,  but one that touched my heart.    He was gone in an instant, not even time for me to say thank you.   I know he didn't do it for a thank you, he did it because it was the right thing to do.   Smiley

Today I will commit one random act of senseless KINDNESS........will you?
If you have any random acts of kindness stories, please post them here.

Every time I go to throw away a hand towel after washing my hands at work, there are usually about 2-3 hand towels which missed the bin. I always pick up these hand towels and place them in the bin with mine. It puts me in the right frame of mind.

One of the things Houstonians were most proud of in the wake of Ike was how everyone helped their neighbors. The Houston Chronicle has a forum for Neighbors helping Neighbors.
