Smells that make me happy

Crayons
Play doh
Chocolate

Tongue

Ginafish, you really nailed this one.  I had forgotten the whole play-doh smell until I bought some last weekend.  And when I opened up the first can, it hit me...big chunks of my childhood and all the really great arts and crafts days in grade school.  Crayons will forever be etched in my memory.  My favorite were the big backs of 128 with the crayon sharpener built in to the box.  Smiley

Chocolate...needs no explanation.  Wink

Books in the library have a smell that (strangely) gives me butterflies in my stomach.  Its done that since the first time I can remember setting foot in the library in elementary school.  Cheesy

Sometimes, here, a happy smell is bleach.   Lips sealed

I worked at a winery and there was this amazing smell that wafted around the production facility.. The grapes being pressed? Wine in barrels?  It's the smell of wine, but so much more- the smell of wine being created! Mmmm!

Also oranges- if people started peeling them during class, which they did, the aromas made it difficult not to get jealous!

BBQ- steak and potatoes, corn on the cob, chicken kabobs...mmmm

Freshly baked anything- cookies, brownies, cake...

My mom's cooking. I actually bought a mashed potatoes scented candle when I moved from my parents' place to remind me of home!

Now I'm hungry- funny how smells can do that to ya. Pavlovian triggers, even just thinking about smells!
