This is certainly good news for ME!!!  woohoo!!!!  :woohoo:

http://www.greatnewsnetwo...er_2006_hurricane_season/

I have evacuated for storms for the last few years, from the coastal areas here in Jacksonville where I lived, to the inland areas, sleeping on friends' sofas for days at a time.  Gone weeks without phone or power, days without running water.  Pushing the family into interior walk in closets when we get the tornado warnings on the radio... So, if we are looking like we are going to have a quieter hurricane season this year, well YIPPEEEE!!!

Its a real pain, having to push everything you have on the patios into your storage room so it doesnt blow away.  I still mentally take stock of trees, where limbs overhang, to determine where I should park my car.

Here's hoping!

That is good news. Hopefully the gulf coast can get a few more repairs under it's belt before any hurricanes hit that area again. Smiley

I dont know, it seems the gul region gets it no matter what.  I've got a freind who lives in Biloxi/Gulpfort area.  He says its still a major disaster area now.  And I can say that even down south where my mom lives, people are still waiting to get windows replaces and trees removed from yards from the 2004 season.  People down there are STILL living in FEMA trailers. Sad   I want a year of La Nada....
