I am wondering if anyone has read this book about microcredit, or a similar book on the subject? I remember seeing a man from India on an episode of Oprah who started doing this in the 1970's (I think).  Anyhoo, this particular book by Jim Klobuchar and Susan Wilkes sounds like an interesting read.  I wonder, if I ordered it off Isara's link to amazon.com if I would get it before I left Nong Khai in October.  Roll Eyes
