I can remember King on the PR circuit for this book doing an interview on a morning news show, and the book was being touted as a real break from King's horror roots and a move into the realm of romance. I was sort of intrigued. I'm a King fan, so I finally got around to checking it out over the last couple weeks.
While it is right on par with the quality of King's other works I've read, I wouldnt say its a "romance". heh! Its got its fair amount of "Classic Kingliness", for sure! The characters, mostly female, middle-aged, and sisters, were very enjoyable. Made me wish I had sisters growing up.
Anyhoo....I read it, I liked it, I would recommend it to fans of King and people who dont mind a little grit and grime with their love stories.
