What do you prefer?
I tend to lean towards non-fiction, I read more of it anyway. If I read fiction, it's usually something I consider a quality work of fiction, like a classic novel. I generally like to learn about things I'm interested in while I'm reading. I love history and biographies. Now my mom is a fiction hater, which really makes me sad cause there are some great fiction books out there.

I use to be strictly fiction, now I'm reading a lot more non-fiction as I get older. Mostly biographies, and books about living in other countries.

I tend to read both, but I I find that the only time i get to read anything anymore is when I'm reading tech manuals, or something of the like.

I really love fiction the best. When I read, I want to escape the world, be transported to a different place. And I love the stories, of romance, etc. So, I have to vote for fiction

Fiction everytime. That's what's fun for me. The only non-fiction I read is maybe how-to books? How to make jewelry, paint pictures, rock-climb, whatever.

Non-fiction is great when I want to learn about a specific someone or something, otherwise I always go with fiction. I just enjoy it so much more and I love not being confined to just reality.

Fiction, hands down! I mostly enjoy books that can, as Heather said, transport me to somewhere else, something that will take me out of my own existence for a time. There are some great non-fiction books out there, but for the most part, most of my reading pleasure comes from the creative genius of my favorite authors. Kinda like movies, I enjoy good, well-made documentaries, but what sucks me into the viewing experience are the "other ones"...

Fiction definiteley. I love a good story, and although non-fiction can be intriguing, there's nothing like fiction.

Fiction. As Heather said, reading fiction is a way to escape to other worlds. I was thinking about this earlier today, and realized we should stop and think what us humans have done to our world that now we want to escape from it whenever we can...
