This is one of my favorite authors because his stories always have that supernatural bent to them and nearly ALWAYS have a scientific involvement at some point.

My favorites are:

Fear Nothing

Seize the Night (the sequel)

Odd Thomas

Forever Odd (the sequel)

The characters Koontz creates in these two books have legs enough to support a lengthy series of books...and I hope they do! Smiley

Hey!  The books sound really cool!  I'll have to read one and see.  Are they the kind you can't read at night because they're too creepy?  Or are they just good thrillers?

Hi Lambie!  Those books up there are not so creepy that you cant read them at night.  I'm the biggest scaredy cat on earth.  The characters are just so great and the stories are good....  If you do read any of them, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.  Koontz is really a master of suspense!

I have read a lot of Kootz books from his earlier years of writting.  If you can find his book entitled "Lightening" - it was one of my favorites.  It has a neat little twist to it.  It is not a scarry book, but it has plenty of action in it.  I also like Koontz for his supernatural settings.  I am not a big fan of horrer books.

I had no idea that Koontz had a third installment of the Odd Thomas series.  Brother Odd is likely to be next on my "to read" list.

Since I have not had internet at my place here in Nong Khai, I decided to borrow a book from one of the local eating places here.  I noticed a couple of bookshelves at the place so I asked about borrowing them.  Basically, you put a deposit down on a book and you get it back when you bring the book back.  They had a few Dean Koontz books and I found one I had not read yet.  Its called Winter Moon, and it is good.  I would not expect anything less from Mr. Koontz.  Grin  He is keeping me eerie company here in the dark early hours when I would usually be online.
