Has anyone here read these? I've got book one, Stormbreaker. I thought they were absolutely fantastic, one of a very few series of books I've liked. The action scenes are very well explained, and the emotional scenes are very intense. I haven't read any other books of Anthony Horowitz, and I don't plan to, as I saw an interview of him and he said these were his best.

As for the movie Stormbreaker I would say otherwise. The action scenes were well done, but it was much too altered, and there were much too many gimmicks in it, and the characters were taken out of context. Anthony Horowitz actually wrote the script, and adapted it for Cinema himself, which made me think less of him. I find it funny the actor that played Alex Rider is actually named Alex.  Cheesy

I'm not familiar with the author or the series, but I found this link:

Looks like Mission 7: Snakehead is coming out Nov 2007, so are there six Alex Rider books already written, or was there an initial book without necessarily a mission involved that sets up the series?

I may give one of them a go when I finish Brother Odd by Dean Koontz.  I just dont know where to start...at the beginning I presume.   Smiley

First and second books were excellent. I never read the 2, 3 or 4th, because my school only had 5 at the time, and then I read number six afterwards. They are very well done, and they teach you things, very factual and scientific-like.  Smiley

I hope to read #7 when it comes out!
