Overnight I quickly tried to upgrade the forum and, unfortunately, while upgrading the arcade the two databases were not 100% compatible so some information got lost a long the way. I've been inputing scores by hand for the past few hours and it's still not working right.

So if you visit the arcade and you see some strange scores, don't worry. Grin

Yeah I noticed that. But what was that "did you know that GTA3Rockstar has claimed way too many  -something-" thing and where did it go?

Also, there's a small glitch in the Matrix. The Home-button on the lower navigation bar is always yellow when you're in the forums and when you click it you're transported to the forum menu rather than the homepage itself.

Yeah I just had a look at it, really clear and simple. Now even the most hopeless nimrod can get a grasp of what's going down.

On another note, what happened to the Gallery thing? Nifty features just come and go, I demand an explanation darn it.

No I don't, it's your site, you can do whatever you feel like doing Yes, I just gave you permission to that, how odd is that?

Looking good PK! Nice job with the heart transplant.

Now you just need to have a direct link to your nifty.new.super shiny. profile page on the homepage.

I too am liking it a lot. Let me direct your attention to a small flaw, however, one I am sure you already know about. When browsing the forums section (and possibly others) the header images and log in boxes are not available. Thanks for all you do PK, it's looking great!

Thanks. It's still a mess right now but hopefully it will be 100% operational by Monday.

Have you noticed some of the fancy new URLs for the forum Sections and Topics? The Best of the Webcam link used to look like this:
http://www.isara.org/comp...f/Itemid,170/topic,1265.0

But now it's:
http://www.isara.org/foru...-vids/best-of-the-webcam/

Not any shorter, but a little easier for search engines to find. Grin (Note: the old URLs still work.)

Also, as ZeroG mentioned, there's a new Profile section (link on the homepage is on the list of things to do). Take a look.
http://www.isara.org/forum/profile/ZeroG/

Unfortunately, the "Buddies" section is causing problems. If you had some buddies before there's a good chance you're going to lose them and have to invite them to be your buddy again. Don't worry, if they're REALLY your buddy you can set them free and they'll come back to you.

Will get some more things done today. Thanks for being patient.

Didn't notice it, but I hadn't posted a link yet. This means the subject of your threads mean even more.

Again...nice job.

Just installed an Ajax Quick Reply feature. Ajax allows for instant additions to a webpage. If you use the Quick Reply (below this post) you'll see that the page does not need to refresh or load. It's real-time.

Don't forget that you can use BBcode in the Quick Reply form. So smilies work Grin Grin and so does bold and everything else (if you know the codes).

We also added a Calendar for those of you interested in What's Going On within the Isara Community. Click the "Calendar" link in the main forum toolbar to see Birthdays of our members, holidays, and also any Isara events. Hope you like it!

We are all making sure PK takes breaks to eat and shower and sleep.  You all just don't know how hard he has been working on this.  Its like buying a supercool rocketship that comes in a supercool box, but when you open it, you find a bunch of metal and rubber bushings and gaskets with a notes saying you have to fabricate all the parts yourself....then assemble.  Grin Grin Grin

Cheesy I've got patience, I'll just play in the sprinkler until PK"s satisfied with his changes.  Grin

Thanks thartley for making sure PK takes his much needed breaks.   Grin Grin  I'm glad you're there.  Are you getting any footage for the documentary.  Wouldn't this be something of interest . I'd hope so, all the labor involved creating Isara?

I was going to add a pixture into My Images but what makes it notably harder is the fact that there's no uploading button. It's hard to add a picture when you can't add one. Or am I not getting something?

Hey, in your profile, first click on My Pictures.
Then click on Add Picture
Type in the title and a description of the photo, and then browse for your picture path.  I just loaded one from the harddrive here and it worked okay.

If you still have trouble, let us know.

Oh, I was pushing the wrong button. Oops. But no worries, I finally managed to add that picture. As it has any point.

PK, great job!  though you really should rename this thread....those were no small changes you just  made.  In fact, I am not sure you EVER  make small changes. Its all about that ripple effect/chain reaction.  But the site looks and operates great from our end out here in the cyberverse.  I love the new user profiles.  There is sooo much more we can do with those now.  I dont think I even used to go into mine unless I wanted to change my sig or something.  But now, there is so much more to them, I like the comments, the buddies, the pics section and the video section!!!

Youtube posting is tremendously easy now.  The superfast quick reply, awesome.  The new About Us page was way overdue.  The upgraded Projects layout makes it so easy and simple to know what we are all about and what we do.  All the tweaks here and there to the forum all make my dip into the Isara pool so much better.

You deserve a raise. Oh wait... that's right.  You do this for free.... well, good on you, mate!   Grin

PK has instructed me, in the past, not to praise him for all the work he does, BUT I'm not keeping quite on this one.  PK you did a superb job!!  Terri,  thank you for clarifying his hard work .  Cheesy   Thank You PK for all you do for others.  Love you!

Do you think Isara Man will delete my complimentary post, well........ we'll see. hehehe  Grin   jk

HA! I hadn't even been to the revised "About Isara" page. So ThAT's where that stuff went!

Kitkat, if your post gets edited or deleted, I'll just post it again, because the forum upgrades wouldn't have been possible without Kirk. And yes, Kirk - you did a brilliant job making the forum all spic and span and refreshing with minimum interruption.
