I had a BUNCH of messages I wanted to get rid of and found that the 'Pruning' function was great.  My question is about the labels we can create in the PM area.  It seems like it would act like the Personal Folders function on many external email sites.  I created one, selected a message and was able to direct it to the new Label I had created.  I went into the Label to check and there the message was, but it was also still in the main Inbox.  When I deleted it out of the Inbox, it was also deleted from the Label I had created.

What is the function of the Label?

Honestly I've never used the Labels feature before, but just gave it a quick test.

I see what you're saying. The Main Inbox stores all your messages but the labels are a way of jumping to just the messages you want. I created a "Family" label and marked a few messages. Then I clicked "Family" and there were all the messages I labeled, all in one place. But the original message was still in the inbox. It doesn't necessarily make a copy of the message it just labels it. lol

I agree it would be better if they just moved the message from the Inbox to your Label folder, but I guess this way you still have all your messages in one place so you can never lose them. lol

I think PK is right, all your messages stay in the inbox but if you are looking for a certain collection you hit the label and can find them easier.
