Crazy cool stuff. I am tired so forgive any typing mistakes. Off to bed. This is what happens when you go on a trip and then try and integrate back into your normal schedule without much of a rest period...

This robot is loud, but it sure can keep its balance.

Those are so cute. Even the one Grandmaster Kirk posted. At first it was just freaky but then when that man kicked it and it was struggling to keep up it started to seem adorable. That DogBot [/s BigDog ]thing is really amazing, like the big leap in the end for example. Wonder where that technology will go..

That's really insane! I like it! The military is developing insects and snakes that are robots which can act as eyes and ears for our soldiers. Pretty cool.

They should just train real insects and snakes to tell them what they see. How? I don't know, with fingerpaint or something? A picture says more than a thousand words. That's why I hope they make pictures instead of writing it down.

Ok that's it, too many nonsensical replies. I really need to get some sleep. I'm out.

Oh man, that's insane. I saw something like this a while back but forgot about it. It was a bit different though, it was just a suit that supposedly stops bullets and enables the soldiers to eg. jump 15 feet in the air. A bit more light-weight. Those didn't exist yet though. Or maybe they do but just don't want people to know about them yet. But that bit in the end, when he talked about the robot operating on its own. Imagine if one day all wars are fought with just robots.

No nothing like that yet. Wired had an article about it being the future of war, but it's not really in production yet. I'm a huge mecha geek so I'm just passing time until I can own one. Smiley

Also in the end bit about the robot acting on it's own, I can see it being more of a shadow control kinda thing. Still controlled by the human (such as with a remote), or set in a "macro" kind of thing. I don't see whole wars being fought by machines for a long long time. I see it more becoming a full fledged virtual combat kind of thing. Then hackers will become the new special forces. Smiley
