I have some AVI videos that i want to burn to a DVD so that i can watch them on the TV instead of the PC. Does anyone have ideas or experience? What software do you use things like that. And zero if it helps i am converting season 1 of lost so maybe you can help. haha thanks in advance:huh:

I haven't done it, but a quick search with google \"AVI to DVD\" showed quite a few shareware programs. Have you tried any yet?

i'm careful with sharewARE i'd rather use something more commercial, i just watched the lost pilot though i guess i'm hooked now i'll have to see the rest, i think there 24 episodes season 1

Yeah, the pilot got me hooked too. You should be finished by the time the 2nd season comes out on DVD in October. I watched the first season on DVD (got use to no commercials!) and jumped into the second season on episode 5. Found the episodes 1-4 as bittorrents and caught up.

You might also try 'WinAVI video converter.' You can go straight from pretty much anything to DVD format, really easy.

Okay, as a Digital Media designer, I think I can help here, so submit what you like. Although, pm'ing me is a lot more effective. AVI to DVD is easy and complicated. :)The BEST commercial compiler is Sonic's MyDVD set. It's a little costly, but it's awesome. I use it for my final burning. Also, the ImToo package is pretty good, still costly. By costly, I mean around the $100 mark. Now, free options, hmmm. I don't have any. I haven't found a product yet that is free AND effective. Sorry. I'll keep looking.
