I was needing to make an image smaller (actual size and file size) to post on a blog and I don't have any image editing software on my pc laptop... so I went looking for free software that does that kind of thing. I found this EXTREMELY SIMPLE FREEWARE called "afelo". Here is the link to it on versiontracker... if anybody else knows of some free image editing software for windows vista let me know so I can try it out! thanks!

Every computer should have that software and every school should teach people how to resize images. lol

This would cut down on the amount of people who send their hi-res vacation photos as attachments in e-mails. Do we really need to wait 10 minutes just to download HUGE photos of some blurry shots taken out the side of a moving car?

Thanks for the link, shalom.

It took me a while to realise that Macs have ColorSync Utlity, which resizes, and has other visual effects.

Windows comes with it's Image Viewer which can resize images for you.

Picasa (from G**Gle) keeps an image index and can do easy edits

Adobe Photo Album Starter is a free utility that does the same as Picasa, but better.

It always matters what OS you have. Smiley

I believe they (the man) changed Image Veiwer to Photo Gallery in a late release of XP (I have it too.) So yes that should work. Hmm, actually mine's called Microsoft Photo Editor. .... Hmm, seems that's part of Microsoft office, so I guess I was wrong. Sad

FastStone Has a good one too. http://www.faststone.org/

Sorry about M$ not supporting image viewer in windows vista.

Edit: If you don't want to download software to edit your images you can use http://www.imageeditor.net/ to edit them for you for free. Sadly it works best with IE. Sad
