If you're a Firefox fan then you're going to like their latest version.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

It seems faster and takes up fewer system resources to run. There's also better organizing of bookmarks and sites you've visited.

Anyone check it out yet?

As a FF fanboy, I'm interested in getting FF 3.0; the only reason I'm not is because I don't want to risk having incompatibility issues with my theme (macfoxII) and various extensions.

Hm...I have ne'er been a Fire Fox fan. I have downloaded it several times at the request of different folks who just love it so much. The tabs were nice and everything but I wasn't familiar with it and when IE7 came out, in my mind FF was wiped off the map. Because IE7 has tabs and a much nicer and cleaner look then the standard FF and because FF requires all thgese ridiculous plug-ins to be downloaded for pics etc to be shown, I stick with what I know.

Maybe I'll take a look at the new version, but don't count on me switching. Cheesy

This version didnt switch over my bookmarks like the all the other updates.... Huh  It switched over my shortcut bookmarks that are like little icons at the top of the page, but it didn't switch over my long list of bookmarks.

Anyone know whats up and how I can update it manually...and where that file might be.

Strange (how many times have I said that about a problem you're having?). I installed it and every bookmark was switched over.  It didn't even ask. It just imported them automatically.

Do you have two versions of Firefox installed on your computer now (2.0 and 3.0)? Check your Windows "Add or Remove Programs" under Control Panel.

While installing it checks for previous versions of Firefox and then upgrades it, taking bookmarks, cache, saved sessions, and even history, with it. The only reason why it wouldn't import your bookmarks is if you installed a fresh copy of FF 3.0 or you keep your bookmarks in a special place. lol

Your bookmarks file is IN THE COMPUTER. Grin Grin I'll show you where the next time you're over here.

It's certainly faster and the AwesomeBar is nifty, but I don't like the appearance. Might install a new theme later.

Doesn't make any sense.  Everything else is here.  It had Isara.org as my home page.  All my Bookmarks that I have on the tool bar came over.  But none of the regular bookmarks from the dropdown menu switched.

Also 2.x is nowhere to be found on the computer??  Not in program list nor Program files.

There wasn't anything that I can't find again, I just find it strange.

EDIT:  Well I reinstalled 2.0.14 and low and behold all of them were still there even though there is no 2.0.14 folder anywhere that I can find.  I reinstalled 3.0 and of course nothing happens and the regular bookmarks don't transfer.  Oh well I grabbed the ones I need and manually put them in.  Case Closed.

Oh hurray, this calls for celebration. I had no problems with the bookmarks. Nifty.

Exciting release, with the world record thing and all, but I didn't download. I heard some plug-ins I use every day are not working with Firefox 3. I'll just wait for at least two more releases, or when these plug-ins are updated.

I don't think the AwesomeBar is that awesome, I installed Oldbar to make it like FF2.
