Hey my name is Pete, i am new to Isara today and happened to stumble across this forum on first glance. Now being a new person to the forum please free feel to ignore my plight, but i am suffering. I am 21 years old and live in Rotherham in England. I have been friends with this girl from spain since i was 18 years old. Now i always kinda held a torch for her but we never really got it on for one reason or another. For the last 5 months we have. Now i have only seen her for about a month of that and it was great but now she has gone back to spain to live with her family. I am thinking of going over there after i finish Uni Aug 08 and she has mentioned that would be great! so the problem. I am really struggling with the distance, we talk regulary but it is not the same, we are sharing each others lives and i am finding it hard. Now i know i am only 21 and probably dont know a great deal but what can i do, i am worried that she is gonna move on and i am gonna get left in the lurch...

i have like 4 months to last with this, but its really hard and i am quite miserable.

Pete

Hi Pete! And welcome to Isara. Thanks for supporting our charity projects with your visits.

Dr. Love is on vacation (with his 5th wife) for another week or two but I'm sure some of our visitors wouldn't mind filling in for him. Grin

I know long distance relationships can be difficult. They can either bring two people closer together (make you realize how much you miss and feel for the other) or it can break you up. If she does feel the same as you then I'm sure that the next 5 months will fly by and all you need to do is concentrate on finishing Uni. BUT, just in case you can't wait, is there a chance you might have the time (or money) to visit her for a few days, some time soon?

Hey Pete,

Welcome to Isara. Is your Spanish sweetie a member of Isara? If she isn't then during the next few months, if you get her to join Isara and get her posting in the forums, there is no way she would leave you. Cheesy Lemme explain...

Not only will it give you guys another opportunity to share experiences together, but you can keep tabs on her  Cheesy. Also, if by some chance she does "find a new plan, Jan" then we at Isara know how to access her computer and can do some unmentionables to it.  Grin

Hey thanks guys, it is pretty tough. But i have been having a think over the last few days, she has made some noises that she is a bit gutted at the distance and annoyed by it, but i just simply said, little we can do about it and hopefully the prize is worth the wait...

Its funny though if we both accepted it why would it be a problem, yes its hard and we made be worried about growing apart, but maybe after the summer/uni when we get to see each other this time will seem inconsequential...

I dont know maybe i am just in a good mood and want to see it like that...
