Cold Bottled Water for Isara!!

I own a small business in a small town in Texas and right now we're experiencing a heat wave.  Our small town is having our monthly Market Days this Saturday, so what better time to  sell lots of ice cold bottled water for charity.  Naturally, that charity is Isara!!
Here's the poster my husband made for me to put  in front of my shop. I'll also put out some blue balloons too.  I have lots of chilled bottled water ready to go to those who need it.     Wish me luck!!

That is a great idea!  I dont go anywhere without a big bottle of water here.  Its like  my Hitchhiker's towel.  You just never know when you will drop from the heat.  I get about a 1.5 to 2 liter bottle of water everyday at the 7 for 13 baht, which is about .40.....

Ginafish, you're exactly right, Isara's photo album shows a lot of  projects.  I also have a photo of the ILC,  helmet donation, plus playgrounds donated and lots more.  The photo album is right next to the donation jar.

What are the daytime temperatures running in Wimberley right now?  I bet the market days are amazing there.  I have some great shots from your shop I can post.  Your bracelets for Isara are just beautiful.  The water idea is perfect....I dont remember seeing any other shop offering refreshment in the square other than the cafes and eateries.

thartley, last week we were in the 100's and this week 97-98.  Just like in Nongkhai, we have high humidity.  It's been extremely
windy all week.  We live on top of a hill and the high winds have been incredible.  I view it as Mother Nature's way of clearing out all the dead leaves and branches from the trees.

Wish my troops could help with this, but maybe you could write isara.org on the bottles with a Sharpie.

I know this will help spread the word because I can't tell you how many water bottles I find in the van after a trip. And that is when I am near my computer.

Yes, very nice poster. But that won't be on each bottle. I was thinking of something which would give a more EverLasting impression , or at least until it gets tossed in the bin.

Actually... from one of my private message with KitKat...they  have replaced the regular water bottle labels on over 70 bottles of water with personalized Everlastings labels, and have printed Isara 'cards' to go with the purchase as well.

My cold bottled water sale was a complete success.  I sold 79 bottles of water amounting to $79. for Isara.  Most was sold on Saturday.  Sunday was slow as usual.  We'll continue selling water all summer long and this should help Isara.   I'll post some photos a little later.

I was just going to find this thread and ask how the water sales went!  It went very well, I see!

Great job, Kitkat.  So others can see how you did this, would you mind letting us know how you were able to carry out such a great idea?  How much did the water cost you?

thartley, thank you.    I pay between $3.99 to $4.99 for a 24 pack.   Most people around my shop ask $1 per bottle, so there's quite a bit of profit.  I of course donate the cost of the water, so there's no expense for Isara.        For this particular Saturday, I bought 3 - 24 packs.    I was able to get the 3 packs on sale for $10.   Each bottle cost me just 13 cents.  WhoHoo!!
