Ben Orr, one of the main contributors to The Cars, died a few years back. Maybe Ocasek just didn't see any point in reforming if everyone couldn't be there.
I remember seeing the Cars in concert, right before they broke up in 1988. It was my first concert. Good times.

ACK! You SAW the CARS!!!! *jealous* I adored the cars in 1984. *sigh* I'm protesting \"The New Cars\" since Ocasek isn't in it. Why don't they call themselves \"The Pickups\" or something...
