Hi all! Wondering if any of you are Beatles fans? For me, they are my favorite band, best musicians ever. This year I was able to make a lifelong dream of mine come true by going to London & Liverpool with my two best friends, who are also \"beatlefreaks\" as we have been dubbed by our families. My husband wasn't able to go and I missed him a lot, but other than that it was one of the most amazing times of my life. I miss England everyday, I loved it so much...the people were awesome. Anyway, enough rambling from me, just wondering who else thinks the Beatles are brilliant!

I enjoy the Beatles a lot. Smiley That's cool that you got to go to London and Liverpool, but what really impresses me, is that you were able to find an avatar photo with Paul AND Chris! Wow! :woohoo:

Yes! I LOVE this picture. If you didn't know, it was taken backstage @ Live8 in London last July. I would have died and went to heaven if I had been in the audience that day. IMO, London had the best bands, U2, Paul, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, The Who..come on!

Now your talking! If I could have a picture of Bono, Antonio Banderas, and Pookie, I'd have the best avatar EVER! Smiley [Pookie is a mysterious forum poster who posts cool links and then disappears, he seems to be missing this week]

The Beatles were a one hit wonder. They reached their peak with \"Can't Buy Me Love\" and then quickly faded away. I think I saw Paul on a VH1 \"Where are they now?\" segment. He's teaching piano at a boys school in Manchester or something. Smiley j/k

I'm a huge Beatles fan too. There's nobody that can compare to them, and probably never will.

\"All you need is love\" - Brilliant.
\"Here comes the sun\" - Perfection.
\"Let it Be\" - Poetry.
\"Hey Jude\" - Best Karaoke song EVER. Smiley
The list goes on ..and on ..and on.

Gee, is it that obvious? Yep, I'm pretty much in love with all things British.

This is a pretty well-timed post! I just brought in the Beatles 1 CD to my work to play today and it was definitely good background music for some wine-tasting.  Gotta love the Beatles definitely. My brother-inlaw is from England and he is very proud of them as well!

I'm not sure there is a better song writing team than Lennon and McCartney.

If you like John Lennon's songs, have you heard Neil Finn's solo work? Neil Finn is from Crowded House and his best solo effort is called \"Try Whistling This\".

I think his songs sound like something Lennon would have written. And with all the Bhudism practiced by the Beatles, I wouldn't be surprised if Neil isn't John Lennon re-incarnated!

I hope you don't mind but I cleaned up the photo of Chris and Paul. You can use it on your website and avatar if you want.

A short Beatles story... I worked with an older nurse who was from England.  This was almost fifteen years ago or so....anyway, she told me nonchalantly one day that when she was a teenager, she and a group of friends went to a small pub in something she called \"the underground\" and saw them before they had jumped the pond or become famous.  :woohoo:   I almost wanted to ask her for HER autograph!

I wonder if she's talking about The Cavern Club in Liverpool? They played there a lot up until 1963. If so, she's really lucky, I would have loved to be able to see them there. (or at all for that matter!)

My first 8 track was Abbey Road. I prefer what i call the after drug music, i like it all but i enjoy the later stuff a little more than the "we are really really happy" music, i have read a few books about them. I had a nightmare when i was a kid right after lennon was killed that he was trapped in this huge hole in the middle of NY and i couldn't get him out. Wierd. Anyway i'm always free to talk about the Beatles.

Here's a plug for a "Paul is dead" website for whoever is interested in that stuff. It's the website of an administrator from www.beatlelinks.net (an awesome Beatles site and forum) No offense to anyone who believes it, but I myself don't think it's true, the Paul we have today is the same Paul that was born in Liverpool. But..it is fun to look at the "clues". Here's the site: http://www.paulisdead.co.uk/

HA! That stuff is funny. I can't believe all the imagery and 'hidden' clues that people look for. But it's still fun to read. And yes, I think Paul is still alive. John is dead. Paul alive.
