Eh, I thought this was at least worth noting.  Its a little weird, but I found it over at OPSOUND.org

Its basically the sounds of protest, newscasts, speeches and interviews set to a loop.

Yeah, it was.  But I wanted to actually give an example of the kids of creative things that are on OPSOUND.org available for use under the creative commons licensing.  I think that opsound is prob the best recommended site for looking for music that is actively put out there for free use, or in some cases limited use under cc.

You can go there and search  by genre.  Some of it is pretty out there and, to my ears at least, barely sounds like music at all.   Not sure what it is.  But its there, people made it, and took the time to say hey, you can you use this if you want to.

for free.

Ten Minute Protest

Nothing wrong with this. It has the power to stir the blood in us old protesters who are getting on a bit and haven't protested for a while.

Reminds me of the Solidarity Choir from Australia. Their CD of protest songs from around the world is truly moving.
