Very impressive, alyssa. You're very talented. Maybe Coldplay will need a backup guitarist some day. Smiley

Thanks for posting Alyssa! Smiley Smiley

When I was young, I took piano and violin lessons, sang in the school choir, and a local production. As an adult, I'm lucky to have time to play the radio or the kids xylophone. Smiley At least I can still read music, if I try real hard.

I've been playing the piano since I was in kindergarden (25 now), and I learned to play the organ a few years back and now am the full-time organist for my church, which I really enjoy. My friends got me a guitar for my birthday last year, which was awesome...so I'm learning to play that now too. That is w/o a doubt the best gift I've ever been given. B)

I can play a little air guitar. But I had to buy this book to learn how.

Looks like Isara has some talented members. Both Briceman and Getamanda sing. Actually, I think Getamanda has an album coming out soon. We also have a few filmmakers in the mix.

Your Muse covers are brilliant, Alyssa. ^_^

I've been playing piano and violin for six or seven years now, and I've recently started playing guitar. It's much more fun in my opinion. Tongue

I can carry a tune, but that's about it.  I cannot now, nor ever have been able to, read music.  It may as well be heiroglyphics.  Oh wait, there's a chance I could read heiroglyphics...

I play guitar, bass, saxaphone and some piano (I've never actually played piano on stage, though). A friend of mine has some video of me playing guitar with his band. I'll have to get my hands on that and post a little of it.

as soon as she(amanda) replaced the vocals with the flute it was turned intstanly into muzac (elevator music) you know like when they
play sweet home alabama with a flute instead of a singer:lol:

Yes, even if we played from 70's hard rock to today's progressive, so "prog-rock" can be a narrow term...

Some populare "prog rock" bands are:
Dream Theater
Fates Warning
Yes
Rush
Pink Floyd is sometimes considered in that genre
Emerson lake and palmer
that type of music it's usually more concentrated on the instrumentalists i think you could consider Boston prog rock.

Hey Alyssa! I listened to your songs on youtube, you're pretty good.  I liked the City of Delusion bass cover!  Grin

I play the guitar, but all I can do are chords, I don't know any solos, so sad.

lambie83 - All you can do are chords? That means you can play in almost every band on the record charts today. Smiley  BTW I like your blog. Very cool. And you should definitely switch to WordPress. We're using a modified version of WP for the "upcoming" Isara blog.
