Last.fm Users

Hey all,

Just wondering if there are any other last.fm users out there! If you aren't familiar with last.fm, it's a site where you can build an online music profile based on what you listen to on your favorite computer media player. You can see what your friends are listening to, keep a record of what you've been listening to, and discuss music in general. Quite neat!

Wow, I haven't really dropped by this forum for quite a while....but just happened to pop onto this thread and saw the idea for a last.fm group!

Looks cool, but how do you listen to more than 30 seconds/track?

It's actually a journal of what songs you listen to, sort of to tell people that my music taste pwns everyone else's.

Do you enter the song titles manually, or does it hook up to Napter, or iTunes and automatically keep track for you.

You have to download a plug-in for whatever music player you use, and it will keep track of each song that you listen to at least half of.

Last.fm, like Twang said, keeps a profile of your listening habits then hooks you up with others who have similar music tastes. Great way to meet people who like the same kinda tunes as yourself! I've found out about a lot of great music thru that site. I'm a last.fm junkie.

Okay, I'm pretty proud of myself.  I managed to get registered AND play music! haha!!!  So far, there is only Twang and lunar1126 and myself.     Where is the love?

ha!  Not sure.    Last.fm is helping me with my attempt to kick the habit of tv, and there are no commercials or news!  Works for me, plus we have the Isara name out there.

Alright, since it has the Isara name, I'm downloading the software now. I just don't usually listen to music when I'm online, b/c I'm not only online, but juggling 2 or 3 other tasks as well. For instance, now it's time to make french toast while this downloads.
