This past weekend Isara gathered a group of students (and one professional painter) to begin renovating the looooooong exterior wall (front and back) of the Nong Khai Red Cross building. In June we renovated the main building but, because of time and budget restraints, couldn't begin the wall project until now.

On Saturday we started bright and early, scraping off the old paint from the cement and rusted metal. Then on Sunday we began the long process of painting. The wall is about 125 yards long so it took much longer than we anticipated. We should be finished with painting the red signs by Wednesday or Thursday. But it's amazing what a few dollars and a few volunteers can do in a weekend.

Click Here are more photos from the past few days.

Thanks to Utip (he also did the school construction back in April), Ming (she worked harder than anyone), and all the student volunteers who came out to help (Nok, Rossarin, Am, Bee, and many more).  But, most importantly, thanks to all of you who visit Isara everyday and who use our search, games, and other features. This project was about $200 and it was all paid for by your visits and clicks. Thank you.

The wall looks amazing!! Thanks to all of you who painted it!

The other neighborhood buildings are now jealous and want to know how much your painting crew charges. Smiley hehe

The pics in the photo gallery are awesome! You all have a great time finishing up the project. I'm sure the Red Cross is very appreciative too.

Wow !  Cheesy What a great job everyone has done for the Red Cross in Nongkhai.

You mentioned Ming worked the hardest, I bet it's the Znax high score crown, I've heard a crown motivates.   hehehe  Grin  Ming, just kidding!

Thank you to all the Isara's supporters! A big job well done.  Cheesy

You know, PK, I have to say that everytime you show one of these nifty projects off, it makes me proud to support Isara, in every little way I can. I have to say, it's an inspiration to all of us and a constant reminder that if you stick to your dreams and goal, one man can start the cycle that can help change the world. I'm not sure how many of your volunteers read these, but thank you. You guys make me jealous, because you get to be there, putting in your own effort. I may have to come down sometime, just to help paint a pk, oops, I mean a fence. Wink Keep up the good work, all of you. I know we're all proud to be a part of this.
