This past weekend Isara gathered a group of students (and one professional painter) to begin renovating the looooooong exterior wall (front and back) of the Nong Khai Red Cross building. In June we renovated the main building but, because of time and budget restraints, couldn't begin the wall project until now.

On Saturday we started bright and early, scraping off the old paint from the cement and rusted metal. Then on Sunday we began the long process of painting. The wall is about 125 yards long so it took much longer than we anticipated. We should be finished with painting the red signs by Wednesday or Thursday. But it's amazing what a few dollars and a few volunteers can do in a weekend.

Thanks to Utip (he also did the school construction back in April), Ming (she worked harder than anyone), and all the student volunteers who came out to help (Nok, Rossarin, Am, Bee, and many more). But, most importantly, thanks to all of you who visit Isara everyday and who use our search, games, and other features. This project was about $200 and it was all paid for by your visits and clicks. Thank you.
