The local Red Cross building has been in bad shape for many years. Most of their budget goes to helping others in this region so they've been unable to repair it. The Red Cross does so much for others, Isara has decided to do something for the Red Cross. Today Isara started a big renovation project to make the local Red Cross beautiful again. But this time we're using better paint so it will stay beautiful.

Local businesses are donating the scafolding and paint. Once again, we try and find \"Local solutions for local problems.\" Here's some photos taken just a few hours ago of workers removing the old paint.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support.

I wanna help scrape the paint off! Sad

I feel so useless here.

I'd be hanging out those windows like a monkey, uncaring for my own safety. Simply because I can...?

Sneaker, I'd be happy if you got the paint off your toenails. PLEASE let me take you for a pedicure!

And the Red Cross project seems a huge undertaking!  With a new coat (or two) of paint on a well-scraped surface, that place will look like new!  Wow!  Maybe they will display a \"Thank you Isara\" sign somewhere for the job well-done.  Smiley

This is a big project. But, all of this is happening because the isara supporters have been clicking, clicking, and clicking.Tongue
   Let's keep on clicking for isara.   Just think every click is scraping off some of that old paint and clicking is much safer.
I saw this building in October and it is really desperate for a new exterior.  It's in a very busy part of NongKhai. Hundreds and hundreds of people see it everyday. .)

It's great that isara got the local home supply store to donate the paint,  saving isara lots of money.

Today a local construction crew donated 6 more scafolding and a home supply shop donated 5 gallons of exterior paint (the good stuff too).

I'm glad to see the scafolding, it's much safer and the workers can do a much better job.

The wide shots there really put the size of that building into perspective.  Those are some hardworking crew members out there scraping that building!

UPDATE:  They painted all day yesterday and made a lot of progress. It's the rainy season so people are hesitant to paint anything because the weather is very unpredictable. Last night was one of those times. There wasn't a cloud in the sky at sunset, but at about 10pm a storm came in and I thought for sure the paint hadn't dried enough. First thing this morning I went to the Red Cross and everything was fine. The painters were happy too.

This photo was taken just an hour ago.

Still have the sides and back to do.

Whoa!  They did a great job!  Hope the rain holds off enough for the rest to get done.

What a big job!! Thanks for all the clicks!! I can't believe how nice the grounds look and the building was just peeling paint. And now the building is  just glowing. Smiley

The Red Cross building looks beautiful.  I can't believe I missed this post.  This was a much needed project and it didn't take long at all.   Tongue   Isara meets the need, whatever it is. Our clicks really do matter!
