This thread discusses the Content article: New Projects and Web Campaign

:woohoo: Coming soon!! The big smile from a lot of people that always make us feel happy to see that:laugh:. Normally thai people do not care about using helmets. This is a very good project to remind people to care about their life and i can't wait to hear who is the winner and how they write about it. I always wait to see every project is a success.

Your design looks fantastic pk:ohmy: I like them! and wish isara has more visitors, which means every one will be happy with isara. Bad news spreads quick but people care about it only a short time. I believe that good news goes slowly, but it will make you more proud and every one will know isara for eternity Smiley

Oh Ming, how lucky you are to get to see all the smiles in person! We like seeing the pictures alot but you get to hear the people say \"Thank you\" (and you understand Thai when they say it.)

You are very correct when you say bad news travels fast, while good news grows slowly.

Ming, I just love it when you post on Isara. It makes us very happy to know how much the Thai people care about Isara's projects.  PK is so fortunate to have you as a loyal volunteer.  I know how much you care about your country.  Smiley

We're very excited about the new essay contest.  We can't wait to read about all 10 winners. :cheer:

Thank you for all your help.  Tongue

Good News: There's a small fundraiser* going on over at DVXuser, the filmmaking forum. They are having a Photo Contest and one of the members, Mikko Wilson, has offered to donate $2 for every photo entered into the contest. Mikko has been a supporter of Isara for a long time. Thank you, Mikko. That is very kind of you.

Once the photos are up at DVXuser I will post a link for everyone to go and take a look. We won't be able to vote, but we can still look. Smiley

*Even though Isara does not solicit donations, we often meet people who want to help by doing more than making the site their homepage. We don't turn away generosity. But, again, Isara wants you to know that it's your visits that really count!

Hey, \"It's the click that counts.\" Has someone already pitched that as a new slogan? Smiley

Hmmm...wonder if I should join the other forum to jack up the number of photos entered... Do you think that Mikko is going to be surprised at the final numbers, like your mom was for the shirt in her store?

Not only did Mikko pitch in, but TheYankee (who started the contest) is donating $1 for every person that comments on the photos. DVXuser is a great group of people. And NOT just because they give generously.

UPDATE: It's the night before the Love Generation awards ceremony. This is our first real ceremony that Isara has created. Typically we goto schools and they take care of everything and they're the hosts. But this time it's all up to us. And it's a lot of work. Today we had the signs made ($30), bought 15 helmets ($50 + down payment on the 150 to be donated in 1-2 weeks), and a lot of other stuff. The good news is, the Red Cross said they would loan us the sofas and table for the event (isn't that cool) and we have a truck taking all the furniture there in the morning. We've also scheduled a dance troupe to come in and dance for the first 5 minutes. They're about 8 years old and they'll hopefully be dancing to the \"Love Generation\" song. Smiley

Gotta admit, I'm a little nervous. Last time I gave a speech in Thai I accidentally said a few words wrong and everyone started laughing. Instead of saying, \"I saw 4 people riding a motorcycle and wanted to take a photo.\" I actually said, \"I saw people having sex and wanted to take a photo.\"  D'oh!!! Might as well walk off stage at that point. Because they're not going to remember anything else you say. Smiley

Hope you all have a good weekend.

LOL! But I'm going to remember you said you saw people having sex and wanted to take a photo!! roflmao!

For some reason, I thought this morning, I'd wake up and the ceremony would have taken place when I was asleep, kinda concerned you staying up till 2a.m. and all. Jing jing. Wink

So I'm glad now, I have the chance to tell you to get to sleep before midnight. I hope you are well rested. Sounds like you have everything under control, I know you've got people lined up to help out so it'll all go smoothly. I use to have to through together conferences and stuff, so I can tell you'll be fine. Smiley

I'll do for you, what I did for thartley last week. I'll say a prayer, find Buddha to rub his belly, kiss my rabbits foot, dig out my four leaf clovers, sprinkle fairy dust on it, and blow it off in your direction. Smiley T thinks the fairy dust is what really did the trick.

It's 1am. I guess that means you didn't have a chance to tell me to sleep before midnight. D'oh! But thanks for looking out for me.

Time to hit the road to Slumbertown. jing jing (really)

Have a good day everyone and have a good date Ginafish (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Good thoughts and well wishes all coming your way.  Will you be able to get any video of the event?  I'd love to at least see the children dancing.  Smiley   The other stuff too, but its all about the kids.  Tongue

The ceremony went well. Although only a few officials showed up. But it's a holiday so I guess that's ok.

The first place student read her essay to everyone and it was perfect. Very smart kid. We also had a game and gave away free helmets to people in the food court and waiting to see a movie. That was a lot of fun!

At every ceremony there are always performers. This time we invited some young students to perform. They did an amazing job and it was the most popular part of the ceremony.

Will have more photos up tomorrow. Hope you all had a good weekend!

Tongue Thanks for the early photos, I know you must be exhausted. I can't wait to see more.Smiley  I'm glad everything went well.
I'm sure, this is Isara's First Annual Love Generation Essay Contest of many.
Try and get some rest.

Our clicks really do matter.
Whenever I'm clicking, I pretend every click is touching a child in need in Thailand. It really feels good.
