Wow! I spent about 30 mins. on this site. It's great, contains lots of good Thai food info., but my advice when eating any Thai street food; don't forget your Tums!  You'll need'um!  |

The most intriguing thing I found on there was the ice cream on a bun sold by a street vendor. Or you can get it in a cup or traditional cone, but they offer it up with your choice of sticky rice or something else (I forget) and then pour cream over it.
I'd be willing to try the bun, but I dont want the rice or cream on it.

I saw a show with something like the icecream on a hamburger bun in the Philippines. The host tried it and thought it so gross he gave the rest away. I don't think it is anything like we have in the U.S.
Very cool website; I will have to check it out some more.

They do enjoy eating vegetables on ice cream here. This is at a KFC here.  It probably wouldn't sell very well at a KFC back in the USA.  |

Corn is really sweet, so I can see that it might be tasty with a little caramel sauce and ice cream. I read quite a few articles on that site regarding the status of McD's, KFC, etc, and that Thai's are leery of bread in general. The superstitions regarding food were interesting too. I never thought that eating anything would change the appearance of my children. |
