Congratulations on your new house and your new state. Texas is a great place to call home.

Congratulations Gadget!  I dont stumble in to this thread very often so my apologies for not celebrating earlier with you.   Grin  My baby girl is all grown up and I gave away all my incubator facilities and supplies to medical science a couple years ago.  LOL!!!

But I do remember the huge level of excitement I had when I was waiting to meet my baby for the first time.  And then I did this to her (poor thing):

Then...

And now...

They grow up so fast!!!!!!! Get ready to enjoy every nano-second of it.  Smiley

This is funny, I have a baby picture of me taken in front of the same patchwork 70's/80's background! lol - if I get time I'll scan it & post it. Adorable baby pic BTW.

They do grow up fast. Graham will be 8 months old in a week. (See the beginning of this thread for more background) He is crawling everywhere and will pull himself up so he is standing. I just lowered the crib mattress last weekend because I found him trying to escape.

The funniest thing is when we tell him "NO!" when he starts to crawl where he shouldn't be crawling. Yell ing NO! from across the room will cause him to start crying and he puts his head down in shame. He eventually turns around, but there is much objection to the artificial limit (as he sees it) for about a minute, then he is back to happy Graham wandering off in another direction.

Amanda had a harsh realization today. She does not think Graham is her child. It seems he does not like mashed potatoes. According to Amanda: "He cannot be my child!"

What is a typical day's menu for you with the gestational diabetes?  Eating was the only pleasure I experienced while I was pregnant! LOL!!!!!

Typical menu is as few carbs as possible. I can only have up to 40 carbs for a meal, and 15 for a snack. I pretty much am just starving all the time! And the biggest thing is that I only eat organic food, so it really limits what I can and can't have.

Well, we're off the calendar as of 1047 Thursday morning.  Smiley  RedRose and I wound up with an 8 lb 2 oz boy named Andrew John.  20" tall.  Except he doesn't stand up yet, so make that 20" long.

Sooner or later, there'll be pictures.  I'm too tired at the moment to put them anywhere.

You can count me out of the pregnancy calendar! We had Ezekiel Jackson on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 3:48 p.m. He was 19 1/4 inches and 8 pounds 4 onces. He looks exactly like his dad did when he was a baby!
