I've been basically vegetarian for the last 12 years.  Started it all out with a book my mom sent me by Dr. James McDougall and its been a great lifestyle fit for me.  If anyone out there has ever wondered about how to eat healthfully on a vegetarian diet, this is the resource for you to wander thru.  Probably the best information database on the net:

I really respect people who are veggie, because I think it's healthy and that it takes self-control. But, I don't think eating meat is horrible for you either, it's all about personal choice. I'm embarrassed to say that I tried going veggie back in high school and lasted for like 1 day. I remember going to McDonald's and getting a chicken sandwich because I couldn't take it anymore! Tongue But I have a friend who has been veggie since high school and she loves it.

haha!!!  There are people I work with who ask me every single day at lunch, \"where's the meat?\"   Its become a running joke of sorts, though I have added some turkey and chicken and fish lately.  And I cant say I am absolutely vegetarian because I think I would die without ice cream!  I dont know who I love more...Ben or Jerry.

Hehe, I've considered going vege after eating these canned \"Choplet\" steak things that are only 90 calories for two--that freaking rocks! I went to the local vege market and they had soy beef jerkey, fake whole turkeys, fake whole lobsters, it was too cool! Haha.

Fake Whole Lobsters?? SWEeeTT! When I was a vegetarian, I'd still eat seafood, but not chicken or turkey.

Thartley, I think it's time to call yourself something new...a turkveggiekin. :woohoo:
