If you've ever known someone with high blood pressure, they probably know what DASH stands for. Basically, it's low sodium. Smiley

Ginafish, GREAT link!  We have a medical clinic on-site where I work and a while back, my bloodpressure was high at 145/90.  I was super stressed at work AND at home, but I had no idea my BP was that high.  Its been 110/70 for as far back as I can remember.  They actually told me to follow-up with my dr and they gave me a DASH diet plan book.

It is a very good plan and easy to incorporate if you like fruits and veggies!   Grin

(I had to initially cut this post short as a friend of mine showed up for some help with a video.)  Anyhoo....my BP as of last week was back down to 117/76.   Grin

 Grin I'm baking the "Pear-Almond Tea Cake" recipe I found on the Dash diet today.  I'll let you know how it turns out. It sounds really good. Yummm. Cheesy

For dinner tonight I'm making a hearty soup with chicken, vegetables and barley. We'll have some rustic plain baguette spread with "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spread. Cheesy Sorry,no real butter for us. This spread actually tastes pretty good.
