I have not carried a purse (until Ginafish gave me the Breathe Bag) in years because of a bad shoulder and back.  I carry a little pocket wallet.  I AM looking for one of those cool canvas bags they have here in Thailand that looks like a messenger bag sort of.  At any rate, my Breathe Bag is machine washable.

But check out the link above and see how many women's purses were tested and shown to carry bacteria like E. coli!  EWWWWW!!!!!!

Cheesy Guess I'll need to go look for my own washable tote. After all, it's not very practical to not take your purse into the restroom in a public place if you have no one to leave it with other wise...who would trust the cashier enough to say "watch my purse please, I need to use the restroom"??

And are you remembering to breathe? Cheesy

Thank you thartley, very important info for us ladies.   Purse hooks can be one solution.   They're easy to find and not  expensive.

Yes I am remembering to breathe, thanks!  I dont know what I would do without that bag.  Cheesy

Purse Hooks, huh?  Never heard of them, but the graphic looks interesting.  I think I will stick with my pocket wallet though.  Keeps everything simple for me.  When I get back to the states, I wont be needing a bag to carry bottle of water, handcloths, camera, tapes, lens cloths, batteries, ziploc baggie of money, and toilet paper with me everywhere I go.  LOL!

Cheesy I saw the thread and I thought "Probably not for me..." then I decided "What the heck, let's see what I can say..." After I posted I realized it would probably look funny on the homepage. I can see I was right. Smiley

Now continue with your girl talk, I am out...

Yup. Just like most things I do. The average post by me is nothing but a heaping pile of BS, although I can get serious every once in a while...just not about purses. Cheesy

MUS. CRASHES THE PARTY AND TRIES TO BE FUNNY.

Purses are serious business. Did you know that one out of four purses carry E. Coli? Oh, you already discussed that. Well, one way to prevent it is to use a purse hook when you go to the restroom. Oh, that was discussed too. Dang it, all my purse knowledge is going to waste.

Mus. has purse knowledge? My purse knowledge ends with the strange looks I get when I refuse to hold one. Smiley

Hm...this thread was sort of hijacked, wasn't it?  Tongue

No no, it was taken into custody. Now we can let it go again. And in no way did all my purse knowledge come from this topic. I'm a purse expert. Because there's a purse store near my school, can't remember if it was Gucci or what, where you can buy overprised purses. I've never been there but I'm hoping the pursery is through the air absorbed into my school where the purse energy mixes with the atmosphere of learnment, automatically making me a purse wizard. It's true because I said so.

Welcome to MY World!! Be careful or you'll have 6000+ posts before you know it!!

*snap...on dvxuser, there was another name for commenting for the heck of it and it had to do with Brandon Rice so it was called bricing, or bricemaning or something and it even had a wikipedia article for a bit... but anyway...What? Purses? Oh yeah, I have a few of those, but only carry one at a time. Cheesy And I'm a real live member of a purse forum. So

GinaFish, I know what you mean. My post count over on DVXuser went from 1,000 to 2,000 in a period of two months I think, and it is still climbing. What is all this knowledge you have of old school DVXuser? Did you used to be a member over there? Are you a member using an alias? Cheesy

A quick history lesson: Brandon Rice used to post a bunch of nonsense, in fact he now has over 14,000 posts. Yup, you read that right. He has calmed down now, however. I was told that, although many posts are downright ridiculous, I am a contributing member so I haven't angered any mods yet. Smiley

:shifty eyes: no, I have never been a member of dvxuser.
Brandon started the big ole 20 page fun and random thread here, so yep, we've had some pretty "random" conversations. Cheesy

So for purses.... to transition.... Cheesy ....what's the most random and useless thing you've ever carried in your purse?

Gwiz misplaced his cell phone, we looked high and low for it, even contacted recent business he had been too, but no cell phone. At last resort he asked me to check my purse.   OMG I had my cell phone and his in my purse.
