Some of those are a little stupid. For example, the "drink eight glasses of water"-thing only means that you should drink about two litres of fluids per day. And the "we use 10% of our brain"-thing means that we use 10% of our brain-capacity at one time. They shouldn't take everything so literally Smiley

I wouldn't say they are 'stupid', mus.

I would say that many times, when studies come out that pronounce "Drinking lots of water is healthy", most people cheer and say "I want to be healthy!" And then, immediately, everyone is consumed with guilt, knowing they aren't going to follow through.

As for shaving legs bringing back thicker hair? Since when was that a 'medical myth'? I'll give it old wive's tale status, but I've dare say we've never seen the Harvard Medical Review do a study on leg hair regrowth. Preposterous! Wink Grin

The eight glasses of water thing is just a way to make it easier for people to approximate 2 liters of water just like mus stated.  I usually drink between 1.5-2L of water per day so long as i just have a normal day, and thats in  hot and humid Thailand.  If I exert myself over here though i can go through up to 4 or 5 liters in a day, but thats if im working hard in the heat.  I went hiking with my mom when she was here and i took 2 liters in about 4 hours.

Yeah. Alot of those I've seen happen. Like the turkey. I make chicken, and I don't want to fall asleep after I'm done, and neither do my cats. I give them some turkey, and a few minutes later, they are out like lights. As for the water, I've heard from doctors that the best way to get the amount of water you need is an ounce of water for every 3 pounds you weigh. I drink, on average per day, between 125- 156 ounces of water a day (which is way more then I weigh). Sure, I have to go to bathroom alot, but I feel alot a better! Smiley
