Something common and unique. Every time I drive, I see one or two of these. PK's Auto Spa. I see them in central Arkansas but haven't seen them in other states. Has anyone seen other PK Auto Spa's?

Ginafish, that's definitely unique, PK Auto Spa's! I've never heard of an Auto Spa, pretty clean name for a car wash! hehehe

Does anyone here live on or close to a beach? Just last night I was in the backyard and all I could hear was the waves crashing on the beach, some 200 metres away.

Yes, if I walk out my front door, turn left, and walk just a little ways, I see this...

Thanks, Pohui.  I've posted this elsewhere around the site, but I couldnt find it right off.  You might enjoy...  Smiley  I shot it last year.  The editing is crap, the cuts are too long, but it was just for fun and it will give you a nice sense of my "home".   Cool

sorry for no majestic moose floating on an iceberg through a fjord in June. I live in a more urban  area of Norway (if you can call it that) Smiley.

thartley, you need to take a picture from your work like ZeroG did so we can see the view. Smiley I live on the opposite spectrum of an urban area so I like the different kinds of photos. Smiley

I will take a photo tomorrow.  But I will have to wait for the sun to come up.  I work on a company campus of five buildings with lakes, a waterfall, and wooden footbridge.  Once you turn off the 80mph dragstrip, you are in another world on site.  I'll see how far I get taking pictures.  Security sent an e-mail out a few weeks ago warning people not to take pictures with their cell phones.  I've no idea what prompted that, but we'll see.  We have a massive statue of our company brand I'd love to take, but I dont think I'd be able to post it.  Maybe...

Well, these are dinky and pathetic, but I was hurrying.  I think I need to check the camera settings.  Might need to try again soon.

But one is a quick shot of part of our campus.  The other is a shot of my cube.  What a mess!

Alright.. bend the rules a bit here..since I cant snap what's inside my workplace I snap what's outside Tongue

Right across my workplace is "Bishan Park".. a huge recreational area for residents living around the area.

Took these pictures while on my way to work.. the main road outside my workplace is called "Bishan Road".. probably one of the busiest road during peak hours, as it connects to some of the busiest expressways on the island.

Hi Gina, think u got the wrong idea.. it's never a good idea to stroll around the park during lunch time when the sun is at its hottest!! but it's a good time to do so during morning and evening, however, I hardly heard any of my colleagues do that except for a group of them having a game of soccer after work on Wednesday Smiley

Cheesy I didn't realize it was so hot at lunch time. It's a better idea to stay in the cool for lunch. Cheesy

Alrighty, I have something unique enough.  I didnt take this particular picture, but... this is something I was going out looking for today with my camera.  Its our very own T-Rex, a relic from long years ago when we had a place called Goony Golf here on Beach Blvd.  I used to play there when I was a kid, but years later, it shut down.  Everything has been long gone, except for T-Rex.  I wonder if he is still there.  I found an archived news article about him.

thartley - Is that a cane in his hand or a golf putter? If it's a cane then maybe that explains why they became extinct. lol

One of the things that I have always loved here where I live is the "artwork" we have on buildings and fences, etc.  There used to be a lot more, but I guess the city officials are getting rid of it all.   Undecided  Here are some pics I got this morning.

And one new pic of our T-Rex.  He's been fully restored and protected and is standing proud in a strip mall parking lot!   Grin

The painted walls are very colorful Cheesy
I love how all our different states have their own individual look and specialness,  Undecided is that even a word?
