Cool pics. Love the cat photo.

About five years ago I was inside the buildings in the 3rd photo. Beautiful architecture.

I live in the beautiful hill country of Texas, a small village named Wimberley. Check out this link for some of our local entertainment and our famous dust artist!  Cheesy

Edit: I forgot to mention that Scott painted the set for "Man of LaMancha" play at our local Wimberley Playhouse Theatre. Cheesy

hi guys.. another update here...

A bit spiritual here, went to a temple (named: Loyang "Tua Pek Kong" Temple) located in the eastern part of the island..

Was told this temple will be packed with hordes of devotees during any auspicious occasion (lucky not this afternoon when i was there)

- the front and side view of the temple.

- First of all, pray to the deity before place the joss sticks on the dust heap inside the urn.

- burning of the joss paper

The temple is very beautiful. Smiley Thanks Pohui! One question, why do they burn the paper?

to make it simple,Gina..the joss papers are actually some form of "currency" meant for the deceased..

Smiley Thanks Telefunk for the photos, my favorite is the one of the bridge overlooking old town. Smiley
I also liked the boat dock with the town in the background. The photo of the church under restoration is interesting to me, it's very tall.  Smiley

I've always wanted to travel to Norway. What is the best time of the year to travel there?

late may to early june. Any other time it is black and wet, and  even more black, cold and yet more wet. Norway is expensive. other than that, Norway is a great place to visit with its 1000 year old culture and natural beauty. 17 of may is the national day with parades of school children and workers/sports teams/clubs ect. with people dressing up in their bunads(traditional norwegian clothing) clothing)/formal wear.

Anyways, the best would to go in may/june, but if you are on a budget august would be the time for you and you escape the tourist season and get some nice weather (around 20 degrees Celsius)
