Was at Bugis area just now and snapped some pictures.

Bugis is one of shopping hotspots in Singapore, where it's packed with local and tourists for shopping, food or catch a movie inside the shopping complex.

pohui, your photos make me want to go shopping and in Singapore! Do any shopping for yourself?  Cheesy
Your economy must be doing very well, however, I don't see many carrying shopping bags filled with their treasures.   Smiley  Often shoppers will make a purchase and then place it in their handbag, saving a shopping bag and helping our environment.  Smiley

He! I think it's nice how the on the inside of the shopping center, the store fronts try to look like outside buildings. Smiley Makes it more interesting.

Now, Pohui, did you sit in the love boat? Grin

Gina, I´m sorry I took so long, but I was on vacation.

Neways, here is a Norwegain home.

@MUS. it´s 2.5 Megapixels.  Also I don´t think I will take a picture of a dog. My family does not have any pets and I feel strange asking random strangers if i could take a picture of their dog.
Sorry Sad .

EDIT: I´m sorry for the quality but this woman was watching me take this picture. She looked at me strange and held her purse.

EDIT 2: I thought the quality of the first picture was too bad so I found a picture of a average Norwegain home.

Thank you Telefunk! Another interesting picture would be what does the living quarters look like? Some cultures have lots of family photos, living rooms in the UK are usually very small by American standards, at Nok's house they sat on the floor to eat, so it's different everywhere. What does it look like where you live? Smiley Smiley

I don't really want to show you my interior, I feel very uncomfortable posting it on the internet.

Anyway here are some pictures of interiors from houses that are on sale that I feel represent Norway:

That's awesome, Telefunk! Thanks for those links! I would have never found them myself, since I can't read a single word. Cheesy

Hmm... more unique things about your area... Street signs, the front of stores, grocery stores, automobiles... Smiley I could list a lot. Cheesy

HI KitKat...

The allure of shopping in Singapore is not longer as attractive as compared in the past, as you would find price tags in nearby cities (i.e: Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok)cheaper, though some feedback still claimed that it's cheaper to shop for some IT stuff in this part of the world.

Here's the JOKE - "economy is DOING WELL" is normally mentioned by those who are in the authority, whereas you could sense that grouch of "economy is NOT the well" in common folks on the street Tongue

Unfortunately, here in this part of the world we are still trying to be more environmental friendly by cutting down our dependence of carriers like plastic bags Tongue

He! I think it's nice how the on the inside of the shopping center, the store fronts try to look like outside buildings. Smiley Makes it more interesting.

Nope Gina, I did not sit in the love boat.. as there's no accompany Tongue

KitKat, That picture of the buildings in the fog is of Dubai.

There is some amazing construction projects going on there.

Zoomable Map of The Palm Jumeira

Sorry for deviating from the subject of the thread...but there really isn't anything that unique around here.

Yay, Dubai. Yeah, they're going crazy over there. I guess they're trying to make it attractive to tourists before they run out of oil to keep their economy rolling. And I love it. Here's some stuff that caught my eye.

Some weird towers of which I have no idea how they'll stay up.

Some stadiums at the upcoming Sports City.

Some stuff they're planning alongside the Palm Islands and The World (which will bring them millions per island). Dubai is pretty big too, considering The World islands is located some 10 kilometers (or six miles) from the coast.

And of course, the future world's tallest building, peaking at 818 meters (2,684 feet (seriously, use meters, they make more sense)), Burj Dubai. How they'll clean the windows, I have no idea.

As can be seen in the in-progress picture of Burj Dubai, the surroundings of the areas aren't quite as glamorous as is made to seem in the pictures just yet.

But judging from this picture, in 20 years we'll have one crazy city to visit.

Here's a link on the future projects of Dubai, if you're interested. As Gnarls Barkley likes to put it, crazy.

Shocked Some of the most creative architecture in the world.  Dubai has proven that there's no limit to an architects imagination. Cheesy  Just dream it and it can be done, for a few extra dollars.  Wink

In Nong Khai they're having a festival that honors a famous war monument. But most people have forgotten about the monument and focus more on the selling of plants and products all along the streets. Since the Isara Learning Center is near the center of town we've donated the front of our place to street vendors selling plants.

One of the families selling plants is from out of town so they've set up a tent at the ILC where they work and sleep (see the tv).
