It always looks like it hurts.  haha!!  I might try it if I could sit up in a tree stand.  LOL!

It doesn't hurt me one bit, actually.  Most people say it hurts though.  I would relate it to a pinch.  You should try it though, it's definitely a fun pasttime.

Yeah welcome both of you.

Paintball, eh? I have a very nice memory of that. Last day of junior high. It does hurt a bit but not much.

There's been a really good response to that topic posted over at the Paintball site. Thanks to all our new visitors who made the decision to put their clicks to good use.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Rich im 27 and i am a fledgling member to the Isara website. I am currently living in Brighton, England but am moving to Thailand (Bangkok) in September to hopefully (when i have secured a job) teach ICT in an international school. I found this website through Jennie, she had be asking me to join for quite some time and glad i finally have, love the forums, so much intellectual stimulus, planning to get my teeth into as soon as the coursework deadline passes.

Although having never travelled to Thailand i am tremendously excited about the prospect and with Jennie hopefully plan to spend Songkran next year in NK. If all things go to plan. I cant wait to see what your region has to offer, culturally, social, politically and visually. I have the Isara page set to my homepage now, like seeing the new forum posts i suppose, and of course it gives you guys more hits, and being an ICT teacher, i use the computer a lot!!!

Brief bit about what i like, i am a drummer in a punk rock band, been playing ten years, love photography (cant wait to do it in Thailand), love golf (i know most think it is boring), huge Nottingham Forest fan, gonna miss the home games when i come. I am in a relationship with Jennie hope she doesnt mind me saying that Wink, enjoy History especially twentieth century European History although i have been swatting up on the history of Thailand recently. Anyway hope you are all well, introduction over.

Peace

Rich

Welcome new Isara Users! Grin Glad to have you here!

Thanks Sambouri for introducing yourself! Isara has been waiting for you! Wink Cheesy We'd love to see a link to your band and some of your photos. There is a sports section, and I know a couple of guys here have played golf (one won a state championship or something in the high school division, I think) so if you have some sites about that you'd like to post, we'll read them! And hello from another Rich.. I'm 21 and study chemistry at university in London. I spent six months teaching in Nong Khai and Phon Phisai in 2006, am returning on holiday this summer and will hopefully come back and do some more volunteering after my degree. Anyhow, I think the site and all the projects are great, and I'm very much addicted to the arcade games..

Hi Rich. I've seen you online and in the arcade a few times and was hoping you'd post and say hello to all of us. Thanks a lot for supporting Isara with your visits/searches/game-plays. If you ever make it back to the Nong Khai area feel free to stop by.

sambouri - You're photographs are really good. Does Jennie use one of the pics you took of her as her avatar?

PK,

Yeah the one she has at the moment i took, we were on her home island (stunning place). Thanks for the compliment, i am still learning, only really been using the camera properly for 8 months. Its my first DSLR, i used to have an old 1970's Canon AE-1 when i was younger but the cost of film processing killed that one!!! Absolutely love it though, been fortunate enough to be published in a national sports magazine... think i wanna go down the sports photography and weddings in the future, bolster the income if you like!! You got experience of photography? We should do some golf shots, slow exposures, could look really cool and probably make us look like pro golfers Wink haha

Hello people. I'm Jon and I have just joined this site. I am moving to Thailand (Bangkok)hopefully in the summer to teach English language and literature. I unfortunately live with sambouri but fortunately know jen. I also partake in the band and play bass. I have an interview with St John's on Saturday morning English time and slightly nervous cos I really want the job.

I am a teacher and a writer. I have had short stories published and am currently working on the first novel (which has some interest from literary agents, though I think they are getting tired of waiting). I like the films of woody allen and comedy films. I am obsessed with music and play guitar. I am trying to learn drums at the moment though sambouri isn't  a great teacher. He shouts at me when I get stuff wrong.

I decided to join this forum cos he recommended it and I want to get to know some people before I head out over.

So Hello again.

Jon

Since ZeroG Bill suggests it, I guess I will introduce myself. I'm Henry, 52 years old  and pale as a fish belly. I live in Houston, Texas, with my wife and two sons (8 and 18). I also have a 20-year-old daughter who's been going to college in Thailand the past 6 months, so I went over for two weeks to visit her in April. She asked if I wanted to go rock climbing, but since I have a gimpy knee, I declined. Instead she signed me up for Thai Vegetarian Cooking, a one-day class, and it ended up being quite an eye- and mouth-opening experience. I think my Tom Yam is pretty darn good.
Since people always ask, no, I'm not a real reverend -- it's a facetious musical nickname. I'm a petroleum journalist, if you must know, and can say "go-devil down the borehole" while keeping a straight face.

Hello, I am Alma, I live and study in England. I have posted a blog recently, so I hope I will have some free time to build it up. I am glad to contribute (very little, though) to this great initiative. By the way, it seems that half of the world have moved to Thailand! Cheerio!

Welcome Alma to Isara, it's very nice to meet you.  Cheesy I read your interesting blog about you speaking Catalan and since it's spoken in Spain, France and Italy, could you please tell us where you're from originally?  Also, I'm also very curious as to what language you speak in your dreams?  Cheesy

Hello Roho!  I'm glad you've stopped in for a visit here on the site.  You've really done a bit of volunteering overseas!  How long do you stay each time?

Hello again, it goes like this - 3 months,4 months(was supposed to be 3), 5 months(was supposed to be 4), and 4 months - was supposed to be 4 months !! I really need a tardis so I can scoot between countries, so I can see both sets of friends/family when I want to/they want me to.  Or I would accept a tranporter.
