... but it involves fun.
Hi there, been a while. Finally got some issues resolved, and now I'm back. But I come to you with a problem. I have this assignment for school where I have to come up with a fun, family-friendly game. It has to be completely original, or at least not-so-known. I was kind thinking of some things that are done on 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?", like Props. You can use the prop in any way you like and try to come up with something funny. Thing is, I don't think I can find something for that kind of game, nor do I have the time to make up something.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for something like this.

There is a game people play in theatre class for learning impromptu. Some people start to act out some action, whether it is acting like a monkey, or crawling on the floor, or washing dishes. One person who is not doing an action yells 'freeze' and everyone freezes. The person who yelled freeze then picks someone who froze and positions themselves in the same position. Then the person who is replaced says action and the people continue on from that frozen position. Then that chosen person yells 'freeze' after a small amount of time, and then on and on. The fun part is when people start doing something different from the frozen position.

I think he means a video game, or am I wrong? If not I know several theatre improv games.
My favorite is "New Choice" where you give two people a general scenario and they begin to act it out. Then a third person will occasionally yell out "New choice" or clap their hands and the person who had just spoken has to say something different.
I don't think this is what you are looking for though...

Yeah, mostly theater improv games, or something I can make myself, like my own board game or something. But of course, I don't have the right materials to make something out of basically nothing.
I was thinking that. Like a base scene, and then something like how they do it in Whose Line, where they say "Stop", and that same scene has to be acted out with say 'sadness' or 'like a pirate', or 'wrestling promo...'

Oh, then I misunderstood.
All I can give you are games that have already been created.

Ah, true.
Another one is "Next" (NOT one of my favs, though) You put one person in the middle and have a line of people on either side. One person says "next" and the person in the front of the line goes up to the person in the center and starts acting something out with them. Then the yeller says "next" again and so on and so forth.
I have more. This is my thing.
