Do ya'll see all the tree limbs on the ground across the street?  For some reason, there were workers out there today in a cherry picker and they weren't pickin cherries.  They did a severe pruning job on the trees over there.  i can't figure why they would need to do that, though.  They werent top heavy, none of the branches looked diseased (but of course, I dont really know anything about that), and the trees were beautiful.  I wondered if maybe it was because the monosoon/rainy season is beginning and they want to keep the trees from being blown over...I dont know.  We do that to trees back home right before the hurricane season so the high winds can blow THROUGH the trees instead of blowing them over and uprooting them.

So what's on her head? It's very unusual to see someone with a white head. It can't be a helmet, maybe a hat? Anyone have an explanation?

I dont think there's anything on her head, many Thai people have white hair when they get older its probably just reflecting the sun and the webcam is distorting it a bit through its lack of definition

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm satisfied it's her hair. When I was there I never saw an elder with white hair. I do remember seeing a photo/webcam of an elderly woman in M3R1IN's class last Oct.
